Do you guys know any software that basically lets you set up multiple start and end points on each of your music files so you play particular parts of a given track.

Also, multiple tracks for easier switch or some sort of fade between them.

If you guys know anything closer to that, it would be really helpful. I've been using iTunes but it's not exactly what i'm looking for.

I use iTunes as well. I just knock together playlists such as 'chase', 'social', 'street scene' etc.

You can download mp3s of background noise too if you look around the web.

I don't know any off hand, but it sounds like you want a DJ application.

There might be plugins for Songbird or what not that do similar things.
