Hello all,

Q1

When you use a special ability/manoeuver (example Threaten with the Menacing Threat), do you make a single skill roll for all targets or do you roll seperately?

Q2

When you prepare an ambush, I understand that you have to use TACTICS to set it right. Do you need to do a Blend/Sneak roll in addition to the Tactic roll to set up the ambush?

Q3

I am confused about DR. Does it stack (with other DR, with armor, etc) or is it limited to the largest DR protection you get from one source?

The confusion came from the THICK HIDE ability, which states that it does not stack with armor DR.

Thanks a lot

It is explained in the ability that grants you the option, here Menacing Threat.

No, the Ambush check is opposed to the Awareness check of the targets.

DR stacks, as explained in the Combat chapter. Thick hide however explains that itself does not stack with armor, so thick hide and armor don't stack, but that's all.

I could see a synergy bonus coming from Blend or Sneak depending on how they set up the ambush, though

Most things in FC stack unless it specifically says otherwise. DR from armor stacks with DR from fittings, DR from the Armor Mastery/Supremacy feat chain, the Elemental Heritage: Metal feat chain, Path of Heroism V, and a magic item. And if your making an NPC you could give it the DR npc ability as many times as you want and it will all stack because none of those abilities say they won't.

...Or, from a practical standpoint, Armor doesn't stack with more Armor so you have no incentive to wear 4 layers of chainmail. Think Hide IS Armor - you just can't take it off Smiley.
