White Rose, Arsenal and Firestar are still considering which crime figure to hit where, when province strikes. Rose sees Phil Stepton - a top tier agent of Ghost, talking to Micky Spike, a medium level enforcer who works numbers.
The two are seated at an open air Cafe, "Grisanti's". There are three men at the table next to them that you can guess are with Stepton.

From here you could
a> approach them in the public cafe.
b> follow either of them. Stepton will get into a large car with his 3 guards. Spike will get into a smaller care with one driver who's waiting in the car. You could stop the car anywhere in route.
C> follow them all the way home. Stepton is in a well guarded home in the suburbs. Spike is in an apartment block with some security. The driver will likely drop him off.
D> Ignore them completely
E> Do something I have not yet thought of.

Inside their own chauffered limo, Liberty turns to Rose. "You are the expert here. What do you suggest we do?"

Rose nodded. "Exactly. We need to do this in private. Stepton will have more pertinent information, but he'll be better guarded. If we work on Spike, we may be able to get what we need, and if not, then get some information on Stepton's movements, defenses and weaknesses."

Note, you may interupt at any time.

You follow Spike easily and arrive at his apartment block. He is dropped off, and the driver waits for him to enter the apartment. Once he does the driver waits a few moments more.

The block is a three story building. There are four short stairs and a front door with a buzzer. The streets are fairly quiet, though there is the occasional passerby.  There does not appear to be anyone guarding the front of the building.

After a bit, the driver looks up to a third story window and sees a figure wave from above through the shades. He nods, and drives off.

Watching the building for a bit, you see no one going in or out for the next hour.  it's fairly early in the day, and there are about 4-5 people on the street at any given time.
About an hour after you start watching, you see a figure go up to the door, hit an intercom and stand waiting. He's about 5'7" and wearing a simple brown suit.

The figure in the door you are watching from across the street hits the interecom and enters teh building. After that things are quiet.

(How do you enter the building? Do you want to climb up to the window, pick the lock of the front door, buzz a resident? Do you want to just shoot the lock and run up the stairs?
do you want to leave someone watching the outside, or all of you run inside? If it's all of you do you enter seperatley or together? Do you want to wait until he leaves again and ambush him at the door? Just waiting for your approach....

Arsenal takes a hard look at the building. The window catches his eye.

"Too public to just kick down the door. Window's better, unless you can pick locks?" Rose said, running her eye over the building, and then quietly rechecking her guns.

Arsenal produces a small leather case from his coat and smiles.

"Give me a minute, doll. And keep an eye out for coppers."

He proceeds to the door and slips a tension wrench into the lock, carefully putting just enough stress on the cylinder to work the pins with a hook. That never seems to go as quickly as he wants it, but you can't rush it without messing up - slow is fast, as the masters say.

Taking his time (take 10?) Arsenal easily drops the lock. There aren't that many passerby's, and standing at the door for a few minutes isn't that odd, so it's easily done. The lock opens after a few minutes, looking undamaged. The group enters the hall easily and can close the door behind them.

Walking up the rickety stairs is hardly quiet though, but no one thinks people walking up the stairs is unusual, so the group up to room with no one enquiring. An extremely narrow hallway with 6 doors lays at the top of the stairs. It's fairly easy to deduce which room is the appropriate one, and the group finds themselves outside of it easily.

The sound of a voice is heard from inside, until you realize it is Jack Benny's voice, staticly coming through the radio. Further listening doesn't seem to reveal anyone else in the room, except for Jack Benny and Rochester.

"There's someone else at the door Mr. Benny" chimes the ironic humorous voice.

Arsenal reaches under his coat and pulls his Colt free. He doesn't want to walk into that room without his gun, though he'll keep it low unless there's a direct threat.

Then, he knocks on the door. Courtesy 'n all that jazz.

"We got some jabberin' to do, mister."

Rose left her guns in her holsters. There'd be plenty of time to draw them later if there was trouble. The larger guns she'd left back in the truck. Too obvious. Besides, she preferred pistols. She stood to the side of the door and waited to see how the man would respond to Arsenal's knocking.
