Could Netflix Bring Back Jericho? I find this highly unlikely, and yet if anything were to get me on the Netflix bandwagon, this would be it.
i would rather they gotten a hold of terra nova

Honestly, TN is so expensive it might have actually bankrupted Netflix. Between that and so much wasted potential in the show's first season, I personally think it's better (and more merciful) to just let it die. (And for what it's worth, this comes from someone who recommended the show to everyone who'd listen after the Comic-Con pilot screening. I just wish the rest of the season was even a quarter as good.)

Jericho remains one of the great unrealized masterpieces of modern television IMO. That second season plan - if they'd been able to go ahead with the proposed 21-episode run - would have been glorious.

Jericho has the advantage of being considerably cheaper to produce.

One of my points exactly. There's cast availability to consider, of course, and the show is a few years old now so perhaps the audience has degraded. Still seems like it might have some legs though - and I for one would tune in with bells on.

I just read that Community is getting a season 4.  Only 13 episodes, but that is still far better then 0.

I enjoyed the Finder. Didn't feel like much like a Fox show though. Some have said it would have done better on the USA network.

Nikita renewed for full 22 episode 3rd season.

This was fairly shocking for me, until I looked at the numbers. The show's U.S. rating is awful, even for the WB, but overseas it sells like gangbusters and that's what saved it - which is just fine with me. Nikita was the first show I pegged as a breakout favorite in years that actually got a second season renewal, and I'm still loving it at the end of its sophomore year. I'm really looking forward to the finale this Friday.

No big loss on the Alcatraz front, save losing Sarah Jones in a weekly. Even she was critically misused, and the rest of the show was garbage.

So it's upfronts week, when the insane flurry of TV news descends on the land like a swarm of deranged locusts. I'm obviously way too busy this year to pay very close attention but I'm scanning the headlines and will be posting the most interesting bits I find here, and maybe elsewhere.

First up, the first footage for Revolution, which is looking pretty interesting, if a bit rough.

I just love the 1:00 transition in that first vid. Fantastic use of evocative imagery and compelling voice-over. After that... Well, like I said, it feels a bit rough - more like a proof of concept piece than an official trailer. Hopefully the finished product will reflect the potential. The full clips are a lot better, which gives me hope.
