actually the series seems to be about a management consultant in California.

I watched the first EP of House of Lies a month or so ago, it's pretty good stuff.  Hard to think of something to compare it to, and I think certain aspects of it may polarise the audience, but I enjoyed it.  Looking forward to the series starting up in a week or so.

Also, having watched Game of Shadows today, I'm bummed that we couldn't get that Moriarty in Sherlock.  In fact that was the first thing the people I saw it with said afterwards.  Good film, too (if you liked the first - if you didn't then obviously avoid it).

What that release doesn't say is that TNT has also ordered three more pilots... a medical drama from David E. Kelley... A series that follows an adrenaline junkie who heads up a canine search-and-rescue unit starring Tricia Helfer and Summer Glau... A western which includes Karen Allen, Keith Carradine, Donal Logue, Anthony Lapaglia and Bill Sadler among the cast.

I mostly find it interesting because I'd expected Darabont to be done with TV for a while. Much of what I've read indicated that some of the issues that led to him leaving Walking Dead  had to do with him being a filmmaker at heart, and unhappy with the grueling pace of TV production.

Sherlock Series 3 Greenlit

No real shock on whether the BBC wanted it back, honestly, but there was a question of whether the leads would have the time.

Season 1 of Sherlock is streaming on NetFlix now... started watching last night and found it tremendously enjoyable. Now I see why Cumberpatch has been one of the biggest rising acting stars in the UK, especially after watching him in Tinker.

Enjoyed "Alcatraz". I thought it was better and more intriguing than "Terra Nova". Sarah Jones is rather mesmerizing. Jorge Garcia is well... just great (not to mention highly underrated.) Sam Neill really brings a new element to the game.

I hope it sticks around for a while.

While I am intrigued as to Arrow, I await in general to see what comes out of what. Most of what I watch will probably make it. ...

I hope they bring back Prime Suspect because it was far too underrated for its status. Terra Nova is on the bubble last I heard.

Sarah Jones is rather mesmerizing.

If by "mesmerizing" you mean "gorgeous beyond human reckoning," then I agree. Twice.

As to the show, I really like the cast. I enjoyed the pilot I caught at Comic-Con last year (again, twice - wound up seeing it first on Preview Night and again with Crafty_Steve), but I haven't had the chance to see the revised pilot yet (they reshot some of it, I hear), and the show's week-to-week has me concerned. If it really does boil down to rinse-later-repeat with a new criminal returning every week - as the showrunners seem to be claiming at the moment - then it'll get old pretty quick, even with the mythology bits creeping in every so often.

Time will tell.
