And here are links to ones that won't auto-resize and blow out of proportion:

Part 1
Part 2

That was fun, and the camera work was stellar. Kudos to Richard Senior.

SyFy's U.S. version of Being Human Renewed for Season 2: It's "Syfy's most watched new scripted series winter premiere since Battlestar Galactica in 2005" and "the channel's most female-skewing series ever, with women comprising 53% of its audience."

Also, PopMatters has posted a great two-part interview with Tim Minear, covering his long career of short-lived series, the politics of writing for TV (and vice-versa), the impact of reality TV on the scripted marketplace, the feasibility of 'Doctor Horrible' as a fledgling format, and more. It contains such gems as...

"I pitched all this stuff to Joss, and the report I got back was that 'those were the best pitches Joss has ever heard; however, he thinks you’re the angriest man he’s ever met and can’t bear to be in the same room with you.'"

"I’m my own little BBC."

Part 1

Part 2

I do a lot of "active waiting." There's porn too, but the active waiting? That's part of nearly every project.  Smiley

Go read. Enjoy.

Wasn't Tim Minear on the X-files team? Not exactly short-lived. Smiley

Looks like he wasn't... could've sworn...

He wrote a couple of episodes and was exec story editor for a season or so. Not short lived, but he did join the show after it had started going downhill (according to some).

Has anybody ever been able to see the old Edward Woodward series "Callan"? I haven't really researched it very deeply, but I'm broke and curious to know if its out there streaming or something.

He also wasn't Executive Producer. Every show where he's worn that particular hat has been short-lived.

They've also all been genius, BTW - which is one of many points made in the interview. Wink

Jersey Shore Shark Attack -- 2012 -- While everyone else runs scared, vacationing Jerseyites fend off shark attacks on the shore.  A production of ARO Entertainment.

Not the plot I thought of when I read the title, sadly.

Torchwood: Miracle Day will premiere July 8 (at least, in the U.S.)

Cartoon Network's Upfronts: Including "DC Nation, an on-air and online programming block of DC animation properties "populated with event programming, interstitials, exclusive behind-the-scenes of theatrical production and an insider look into the world of all things DC." Plus a stack of other stuff.

Hm. Maybe the reason for the lack of a BBC premiere date is becoming clear...

Also, the BBC doesn't often announce the air date of shows this far out. I think the most we've gotten for Doctor Who in the past has been a couple of months notice.
