It uses a very monochromatic palette, doesn't it?

According to Deadline.com, NBC has picked David E. Kelley’s Wonder Woman pilot, after all.

The project is described as a reinvention of the iconic D.C. comic in which Wonder Woman — aka Diana Prince — is a vigilante crime fighter in L.A. but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.

With any luck this won;t even get to 8 episode.

They're probably already looking to replace the Cape. :P

I really wish that had of been picked up by SyFy, where it might have found a wider audience and a chance to survive.  Hell, they could have called it a Warehouse 13 spin off...

Tell me I'm not the only one who thought it?

It's not that SyFy would offer a wider audience - much the opposite, in fact - but that SyFy doesn't demand the insane viewership required on network TV. Of course, SyFy's also a channel that often has a hard time recognizing greatness in line-up, so it's not exactly a boon to wind up on the channel.

Besides, the Cape's ratings have been respectable so far, so who knows? Maybe we'll see a pick-up for 2011/2012.

To be honest, if I had to pick between the first three episodes of The Cape and No Ordinary Family, I'd be going with the former. I do enjoy the latter, but The Cape moreso.

EDIT: Aaron Sorkin announces new series. This time it's a behind the scenes look at a Cable news show. No casting news yet, but I'm hoping he manages to get Lawrence O'Donnell on board as a consultant/writer.

As has been pointed out to me, there's actually a perfect comics property for David E Kelly to develop into a series:

Couldn't agree more.

Huh, and it's on HBO. I'll call that a win.

I'm also really hopeful - seeing the magic at work with the Social Network - that maybe Sorkin's starting to tap that vast creative well even when he's sober, which was would be a tremendous boon for pretty much all fans of scripted entertainment, everywhere.

Fox picks up Exit Strategy Pilot starring Ethan Hawke and directed by Antoine Fuqua: For those who don't recall, these would be the folks involved in Training Day.

Absolutely.

As to casting, rumour has it newly free Keith Olbermann may be involved. I don't think he'd work as one of the people in front of the camera, but he might make a good station chief or other behind-the-sceens role. Either way he's got a LOT of personal experience to draw on.

between that and Game of Thrones... I might have to start an active campaign to get HBO.

Possibly the only reason to watch SyFy's Mega Python vs. Gateroid: Tiffany and Debbie Gibson's cat fight

I thought there were two reasons.

Actually, four. Maybe three and a half, given how much weight DG's lost.
