Since that conundrum has been solved, how about bending your intellect to the matter of C : S Wink

My answer to that is, "Yes, I was lucky enough to see one of Scott's ninja teases that flashed the name of C:S on the old AEG board.  Pay no mind, citizen."  Cool

What was the name of the science fiction author Scott mentioned?  The audio was too faint for me to pick it out.

There's a new orc in town (and elf, and dwarf, and halfling, and...)! Spread the word!

Will do!

With any luck, we'll get it out a few months before another fantasy hardcover to remain nameless... Wink

And, unlike said nameless book, all you'll need will be in the one book (apart from the 2.0 book, of course) Grin

Did anyone else notice the video skipped while talking about Crucible and magic into Origin of the Species?  Not sure if there was anything missing but...

Now I'm kicking myself for going to a GM seminar rather than this one...*sigh*

I believe it was Cordwainer Smith.

I read lots of short SF and I swear I've run across the name before, but don't remember what it was that I read of his right off.

Edit: Wiki page:

I believe Scanners Live in Vain was the story I had read.

Was that when the camera moved? I think the battery died.

If you've got questions, we'll try to recreate the answers...

Any chance we can get some hi-res scans of the pictures passed around?

Oh! Maybe you mean the original Fantasy Craft cover... Wink

Seriously, though, we'll be releasing art and other advance materials for books as we close on their release dates. We even created a gallery for just such a purpose!

Please tell me that the Belkar pick will show up somewhere in the book (or a reasonable likeness thereof) That pic is fantastic.

It can't, as that would be an IP violation. However, we hired McSweeney primarily because he made a halfling look like a bad-ass, so the chances are good that we'll ask him to do it again with a non-proprietary character. Wink

Hunt down the recent re-print collection The Rediscovery of Mankind.

It will make you a better person.

The Rediscovery of Man: The Complete Short Science Fiction of Cordwainer Smith  is available on Amazon.com for $25.00.  Might have to put that on my wishlist...

Like any good 'What's Coming Up' seminar it left the audience with more new questions than old questions it answered.... Tongue

The Empire system sounds interesting, and there a few other items being added to my wish list.

The Auld Grump

*EDIT* And of course war as a Dramatic Conflict has my ears up. Smiley There is always war.
