I just want to start off by saying, you are my personal hero. Without the NPC builder, I don't know if any of my games would've gotten very far off the ground as it makes life just that much easier when it comes to creating my bad guys and balancing them against a PC group.

However, I have 1 request that is in-line with the 'custom' advantage you added. Can that be adjusted for negative points as well? So you can add custom disadvantages. Examples like the Cryosensitive (-2) and Dry Cleaning (-2) from Aegis' Iron Kingdom conversion.

Ah yes. I thought of this just as I was putting the feature live. I must add it to my todo list so it gets done soon.

It appears Spellcasting skill grades only go up to 9 (IX).  Huh?

I just wanted to thank you; the NPC builder has been a fantastic boon; I was just prepping some NPCs up with it. It's been a great thing to have, and better than some commercial ones I've used in the past. Certainly better than the scribbly index cards I was using at the start of my game...

Entered in this, and besides being 2xp off from the book somehow, I set it to TL1 and the bite attack didn't include the +1 from Str 12. Is this intentional and something the GM should do? Thought I'd ask before assuming...this is a magnificent tool!

Stat Block:
Pack Leader/Riding Wolf (Medium Animal Walker — 55 XP): Str 12, Dex 10, Con 12, Int 5, Wis 10, Cha 10; SZ M (1×1, Reach 1); Spd 30 ft. ground; Init II; Atk IV; Def IV; Resilience III; Health IV; Comp None; Skills: Acrobatics II, Search IV, Sneak II, Survival IV, Tactics IV; Qualities: feat (Wolf Pack Basics, Wolf Pack Mastery), improved sense (smell), superior runner I, superior traveler I, tough I, tricky (Called Shot).
Attacks/Weapons: Bite II
Treasure: 2T

Pack Leader/Riding Wolf (Medium Animal Walker — 55 XP): TL: 1
Str: 12/+1; Dex: 10/+0; Con: 12/+1; Int: 5/-3; Wis: 10/+0; Cha: 10/+0;
Init: +0=0+0(dex)             Melee: +2=1+1(str)    Fort: +2=1+1(con)
Health: +2=1+1(con) ~ 20/12   Ranged: +1=1+0(dex)   Ref: +1=1+0(dex)
Def: 11=10+1+0(dex)           Comp: None            Will: +1=1+0(wis)
Size: Medium (1×1); Reach: 1; Speed: 30 ft. ground;
Skills: Acrobatics II (Dex) +3 = 3+0; Search IV (Int) +2 = 5-3; Sneak II (Dex) +3 = 3+0; Survival IV (Wis) +5 = 5+0; Tactics IV (Int) +2 = 5-3
Qualities: feat (Wolf Pack Basics, Wolf Pack Mastery), improved sense (smell), superior runner I, superior traveler I, tough I, tricky (Called Shot).
Attacks: Bite II [1d8/17-20]

Sorry, the task of adding up all the bonuses and the like will have to remain for the GM. The NPC builder doesn't attempt to added up strength bonuses to damage because it doesn't (and never will) know about the interactivity of feats, which stat to necessarily use for damage (it isn't always str), and other variables.

It's something I'll think about adding in the future, just adding the str modifier to natural attack damage, but right now I'm in the middle of some major behind-the-scenes changes to enable templates, so it won't be any time soon.

Good News Everyone

I've completed NPC templating Cheesy. It works exactly as it does in the book, with the template having a fixed XP.

I've put up a beta at http://www.meadicus.plus.com/craftygames/npc-beta/NPCBuilder.html. Please all give it a try and let me know what you think.

There are some oddities when loading a templated NPC. For example, load a Kaiju NPC (which will be enormous) and the builder has no way of knowing that the original NPC size was, so it stays enormous.

Since no-one has found any issues with the templating, I've moved it from beta to live Smiley

Strangely enough, I forgot about the rogue templates. In my defense I haven't played any FC for a few months. The other GMs in our group prefer Pathfinder. I'll get these templates added as soon as I can.
