Saw Green Lantern yesterday and I enjoyed it.  It seemed pretty fast paced (at the end I thought it must have been an 80 minute film, by the level of time it felt like), but not overly so.  The CGI didn't look as silly as I was expecting it to from the trailers I'd seen either.

One thing though, I'm not a Green Lantern reader, so any fans of the comic might have a different reaction then someone who only knows the absolute basics of the story.

I thought it was pitiful.
My first thought as the credits were rolling was: "Cowboys vs. Aliens" wasn't a bad movie.

I expected a bit more out of Martin Campbell (two good Bond films and the two new Zorro movies — although the second one didn't quite have the same "umph" as the first one).

As far as comic book movies that came out this summer... I thought it was the weakest one.

They're actually bribing people here to see it with the offer of a free action figure (some $20) if they book their session online.

ghost rider spirit of vengence. the trailer did not make me want to vomit a bit in my mouth, seems to be a step up from the previous movie.

I figured the blogger's mention of "pissing fire" was hyperbole. Guess not.  Shocked

Well, at least they have him riding around in the daylight now. That's... a step in the right direction... ::Sigh:: This is gonna suck.

The first trailer for The Rum Diary (aka Fear and Loathing 2: Puerto Rican Boogaloo) has been released. It looks good, though not quite as trippy as Gilliam's.

Ghost Busters 3 is a go.

Though I'm not entirely sure about Ashton Kutcher...

And it's not listed on imdb, yet.

Has anyone seen the new Conan movie?  The trailers have looked so good yet it is getting KILLED in the reviews.

Is it worth the price of admission or is one better off waiting for the DVD?

Thanks,
Seuss

Based on what I've heard, it's like this:

Did you like the Arnie Conan movie?
Do you like movies with lots of action and killing bad guys?
Do you want to be able to switch your brain off for a couple of hours and just have a fun time?

If the answer to these questions is Yes, then you should like Conan.
