I'll have to stick with Noomi Rapace over Mara as she fits the book's description better.

EDIT: Having the read article the photo is attached to I'm less inclined to see the film now. Some changes were made that I disagree with having the read the book and see the Swedish film.

Ack the Swedish trilogy has JUST finished... why remake this. They were good films that followed the books (not perfectly I admit but well enough). Why Hollywood Why!

This will be Let The Right On In all over again.

Meh, when you start adapting another work, there's room for more than one interpretation.

And Hollywood's interpretations are usually abominations.

*shrug*, Crimson Rivers is the only novel filmatisation that I'd even be willing to consider for being better than the original work. So doesn't really matter to me. Smiley

The "Night Watch" film was a pretty good interpretation. However, it had the advantage of utilizing the original writer to help with the script. He took a lot of liberties in the screenplay, that he addressed in one of the later novels in the series... like it was an odd dream that some of the characters experienced.

Nicely done. It will be interesting to see how they explain him getting the suit, though.

Perfect! The more I see of this movie, the more I can't wait to see it. Weaving's Red Skull look is the only thing remaining to be spoiled (that I care about), but I wouldn't be surprised if they hold that off for as long as possible.

You don't mean Wanted, do you? You're talking about the Russian movies, right?
