Just means you have to make the trip to New Zealand!

Alex just got back. I'll ask him for the slideshow. Wink

Just got back from Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. Very, very good. Oldman delivers, as always.

It is a brilliant film.

Spoiler it up but did you figure out who the mole was? And if so, when?

Producer Rick McCallum Talks Red Tails and the Star Wars TV Show

I really hope they eventually get SW: Underworld off the ground. If it's anything like they're describing, I suspect it could wind up my favorite part of the canon.

Just finished Bunraku off Netflix' instant queue. 5 stars, baby. It's a 30-degrees-off-kilter post-apocalyptic steampunk-noir kung-fu brass knuckles badass puppet-show fable, green screened against an origami background and featuring a ludicrous cast that's clearly having a ball delivering some of the most awesometastic dialogue I've heard since Pulp Fiction.

Quoth the Bartender: "You both fail to understand the symbolic element of Good versus Evil enhanced through the embodiment of the most ancient of human desires ... to be the most powerful motherfucker on the face of the planet."

5 stars. All day long.

This is what Sukiyaki Western Django should have been.

And sweet breakdancing angels, but Demi Moore is still smokin' hot at 60. I mean, she's clearly not a 20-something New York loft-dweller throwing clay with Patrick Swayze anymore, but still. Wow.

Just got back from Haywire ... Gina Carano and Steven Soderbergh deliver the goods. Paid full price and don't feel I was cheated in the slightest. Gina is liable to be the next big female action heroine on her own.

That's great to hear - I'm a big fan of hers, and she was pretty cool promoing Haywire at UFC141.  Plus she's totally gorgeous, which doesn't hurt at all.  Hope it shows down under.

The fight scenes are really well done because that is really her specialty. Haven't seen this many pieces of furniture used as stationary weapons in a while (like kicking someone's head off of a countertop).

But can she be Wonder Woman? Because that's the question I'm hearing here and there. She's probably got some acting chops to grow into, but does she carry the right physicality?

Yeah, actually, she does. She's got the beauty, the skills and the body to do it. She'll need to grow into the acting some but she has some natural talent there.

With the right coach, director and script, the acting part should be easy.

I'm watching this now, based on the post above. I second everything Gentry said. It's a blast, and, hey, Ron Effing Perlman!

Tracker, have you ever heard fist-impact sound effects like Josh Hartnett's? I've never heard fist impact FX that sound that brutal before.
