I'm still bummed that there's no Michael Dudikoff.

Indeed, though at least they got Eric Roberts into the first film. Smiley

Ford can cameo as the President. That'd be awesome.

It'd be surprising to see Seagal.  He has bad history with the producer.

Ford, on the other hand... why not?  He's from the generation before most of the others, but still two years younger than Norris.

Of course, they could alway go for someone older still - Clint Eastwood, as some kind of embittered old mastermind, perhaps.  He did say that Gran Turino (released in 2009) would most likely be the last time he appeared in a film, but still...

(Kirk Douglas would be pushing it a bit too far, however).

Also, if I remember the scuttlebutt, none of the actors in first one wanted to work with him either.

Luc Besson's latest production is Lock-Out (with James Mather and Stephen St. Leger directing). Looks pretty interesting.

Then there's all the fresh info about Cabin in the Woods, the slasher pic that turns the genre on its head, written by Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard. Pretty much everything revealed about it in the last week is a spoiler, so...

That's creepy as hell.  I'm interested in spite of my great dislike of slasher flicks.

I finally got around to watching "Sucker Punch".

Zach Synder should just stick to other people's material. It was good, the action sequences were beautifully shot. However, it was the equivalent to eating Chinese food. It'll fill you up, but leaving you wanting more substance.

The best part of the movie was the final 10 to 12 minutes and the "big" confrontation scene prior to the final dance. If Synder and Co. could have built the story around those scenes a bit better, the film would be worthy of multiple viewings.

Yeah, I have to admit that despite my utter adoration of both writers, this gave me pause. Still, I'm willing to walk in with an open mind, and hopefully that'll pay off.
