Not sure if this has been done in other topics, but is there any plan in motion to include rules for psiconics in MasterCraft? Whether for Spycraft or FantasyCraft?

Probably not in the main book but if Pat brings back Shadowforce Archer, we will see Psionics or some system for their use. Probably akin to Paths for Priests I would guess.

Or, if they bring back SFA, using the system that was already in place there. With it being feat/skill based.

I know, I was being lazy and not typing out the whole name.

Both the magic and psi system in that world were feat based, though I admit I haven't read up on it fully since we never played 1.0 or used either powers when we played Spycraft.

I think the psionics would follow the idea of Priests and Paths or else it will be similar to magic with a skill for psionics that you can only get by being in one of the Psionic Base Classes.

There are several differences though:
  • Each psionic discipline uses a different skill
  • You don't have spell points but spend vitality to fuel your powers
  • You generally can't fail a check but the power of the effect depends on the die roll
I've written a quick adaptation of SFA's psionics to Mastercraft for my Eberron game. You can find it (in French) here: http://www.le-scriptorium.com/uploads/file/Regles_optionnelles/Mastercraft/les_psioniques.pdf

I couldn't really wait until an official psionic handbook was released (but I still hope it does).

I forgot about the spending of Vitality.

I like the idea of it as an option but not for the core. But a future supplement that covers Psionics for the Mastercarft system in general would be awesome. Because you know .... psychic crime drama with 10KB may be fun Smiley
