Black Phoenix Security Intro Session:

This session was really about the characters getting to know the basics of the company, each other, running through a handgun certification (to be able to carry concealed), and getting the company's warehouse set up.

Gator kept hitting on Alabama during the initial meeting when they were greeted by Maria Rojas. She advised them of the company's warehouse location, made sure they were finding places to hang their respective hats, and went over what gadgetry they already had available to them. Shu was quiet and observant while Allen immediately wanted to see his lab.

The team follows Prada to the warehouse where she unlocks the door lets them. They proceed going over the contents: two slips (one currently occupied by Ian's Scarab -- which Gator has been modified for more speed), several workbenchs in the open, SCUBA locker, firing range, and three particle board rooms set up as basic labs to be modified.

Ian is at the warehouse and puts the team through a quick handgun safety course and firing exercise course. Prada leaves at this time.

Afterward, Gator bets Shu $20 he can get a better time on the course and loses because his gun jams. (He rolled a 1 and it was activated.) Allen starts going over the labs to see what they can be set up for and when no one is looking fires up a joint. Ian presents the team with their keys to the warehouse which he made in one of the lab areas.

The team discusses the warehouse. Shu and Allen decide they need to create a few additional particle rooms. They want to use a corner as crash space as well. So they set about marking off a workout area with mat, weights, and hang some weapons on the walls. They designate an area for food storage or as Gator puts it "a place to stash stuff from our Costco raids". Another area is set up to be a living area with shower, bathroom, and some cots. The team starts to settle in to the warehouse. While Shu sets about marking out each room's layout, Allen scrounges up two broken refrigerators (one for food, one for chemicals from a lab) and Gator starts researching night clubs in the area (including trying to find himself a shag shack).

Quote of the Session:

When Allen is asked if he is going to get Shu's help moving the refrigerators into the warehouse: "The Chinaman worked hard enough building the damn railroad why would I make him do this?"

It probably sounded better if you were here but it was said in such a fashion to have us rolling.

XP Earned: 1,000 ... (I was feeling generous as only 3 of the 7 people who stated they wanted to play showed up with characters ready.)

I'm liking this. Sounds like you've got a lot of potential plots in the offing. Best scene: the Boat dock / particle boards, etc.  I can see it.

Black Phoenix Security:

Regrettably the game fell through after one more session... real life including the holidays interrupted the game and only one person really remained interested in it... so consider it scrapped ...

sorry all

sounded pretty good, a lot of thought, although 4 pages single spaced seemed like a lot just to gain 1 extra feat. Although I was never a GM for spycraft either. I would have probably gone 1 feat extra for every 2 pages single spaced, or 4 pages double spaced.
