Those are to alternate humanoids aren't they?(I will have to check the book again)

Indeed, a Pech could take Faerie Heritage but not Legacy (though that is easily houseruled around).

Yes, they can.

To quote Wikipedia: "Cold iron is a poetic and archaic term for iron, referring to the fact that it feels cold to the touch."

Seems a bit silly since ANY metal is cold to the touch. I thought it referred to the smelting process, as well.
Then again, it isn't the dumbest thing humans have termed so /shrug

It's all about context.

Iron is colder t the touch, and stays colder longer then it's predecessor bronze.

There are a lot of silly ideas, sayings throughout human history...''the beast with two backs'' rings as one that belongs in the lame list ..
And I know what they tried to go for there, but its fail...
But all this is another discussion Wink

Also bear in mind that it  depends on the culture as well. While iron is a common staple, cold iron -as far as I'm aware- appears only in English-speaking people's lore.(last stray I promise...stats soon ;p)

Actually, I'm pretty sure English inherited it through the Anglo-Saxon tradition, which is Northern European.

I am not sure myself so I can't argue on that one...

Anyway...regarding the fairy. you could look to Katherine Briggs for inspiration. Her authenitic collections of British Folklore might help give a proper folklore feel to your final build or suggest species feats or fluff  for fairies (and goblins and pech and giants)
I have swapped out Ambush Basics for The Gift for half of the goblins of my world inspired by this.

I never wanted to play one simply due to their next to nil carrying capasity (and still be able to fly, at least).

@Deral
How did you make your Pixie version?

I have trouble deciding how the dust works(as in folklore it usually conformed to the story purpose etc)
It could work as offensive/defensive and a living component for spellcasting...

Use the dust as "You always have a mage pouch". Any offensive, defensive, or folklore related effects could be covered by that style explanation.
