As the title suggests I am thinking of giving the option to my group of playing a faerie.
They are not as mythical in my world and in many places they run a delivery/post office chain.
I was wondering if there is a version somewhere out there that would save me the trouble of creating them(really busy with work these days)
Thanks  Wink

The Faerie Species feats make your character a fey then grow wings, to expand on that, there is also another species feat which improves the bonus' and makes your character more attractive. (I dont know its name as I dont have the book with me)

If you'd prefer to expand on that perhaps try adding alternate Legacy feats for the Faerie chain, so the first part just makes  you a fey, showing that your a lesser breed of faerie while the others show various types of the more well known varieties (to your setting)

I hope that helps.

p.s - quite new here, so :x

Oh thanks and welcome I'm relatively new here too Wink
Yes that is what I thought at first but now I am considering more of a proper race version than feats.
Those are to alternate humanoids aren't they?(I will have to check the book again)
I want them to be bigger than traditional faeries but not as big as humans or even Pechs(closer to a big doll size?)

Do you want them cat-size or smaller?

If you give me a bunch of specifics I can whip one up for you really quick.

Indeed, a Pech could take Faerie Heritage but not Legacy (though that is easily houseruled around).

There's a couple of things you want to consider, then. Firstly, which of the Species options do you think are most ubiquitous for the Fairy species. Winged flight would be a must in most cases (with a species feat that takes it away in exchange for other benefits). Second, you need to determine the cost of being size Tiny (or whatever the step below Small is - don't have my book on me).

One other thing you want to think about is an Fairy armor and weapon upgrade. Their size is going to make it difficult for them to wield a lot of the default weapons, so it will have to take this into account.

For what it's worth, this is my Sprite species:
Size/Type: Small biped Fey (1x1, Reach 1)
Attributes: +3 Dexterity, +3 Charisma, -3 Strength, -3 Wisdom
Qualities:
-Fey Traits: Natural animals refuse to attack you and often flee from you unless trained to hunt fey, or are attacked by you or your teammates.
-Base Speed: 20ft
-Attractive: Your Appearance modifier increases by 1
-Curious Mentality: You gain an insight bonus equal to your Charisma modifier on all checks opposed by Sense Motive.
-Damage Vulnerability (Cold Iron): You suffer +1 damage per die from Cold Iron and are sickened for a number of rounds equal to ½ the damage suffered.
-Enlightened Acrobatics: Your maximum rank with Acrobatics increases to your Career Level + 5
-Iconic Specialties: You only gain your Specialty feat if you're an Acrobat, Adept, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Merchant, Mystic, Physician, Shaman, or Sorcerer.
-Powerful Species: You never gain your 1st level Career feat.  (Note: This is effectively spending a feat to gain some of the species' benefits, if you want to get rid of it, I'd say just get rid of maneuverable and enlightened acrobatics and let players take Agile Flyer instead)
-Maneuverable: You suffer no penalties for hovering.
-Winged Flight: You gain a Winged Flight speed of 60ft.

Subraces it has set up are Curupira, Grig, Kiel (Key Faerie, setting specific), Pixie (Court-fey), and Wisp (as in Will O' The)

So far I have been using Tiny as worth 1 point.

For what it's worth, this is my Sprite species:
Though be warned: Deral has stated that he/she/it/they likes his/her/its/their species a little more powerful.

This is a fair thing to point out, this one should be just fine, balance-wise. Most of my stuff is taking into account the campaign world and changes I play with, the only thing that might be a little off here is the (Cold Iron) Damage Vulnerability, since it may well have no meaning at all in your game.

Edit: Though if you don't want it to:
Armor Upgrades>Materials>
Cold Iron, Qualities: Hard Only, +1 insight bonus to Action Die results, +1 bonus to Reflex Saves. Comp: +5, Weight: -, Cost: +100%

Weapon Upgrades> Materials>
Cold Iron, Qualities: Hard Only, +2 Damage vs. Spirits and Fey, Const: -, Comp: +5, Weight: -, Cost: +100%

Just as a point of order, "cold iron" is just a poetic way of saying iron so weapons and armor made from it should be inferior to normal ones.

I thought cold iron refers to cold forged or something the old way of forging iron... too lazy to do a proper search...

To quote Wikipedia: "Cold iron is a poetic and archaic term for iron, referring to the fact that it feels cold to the touch."

True, but in this case I wasn't considering it sufficiently inferior to impose a damage or damage save penalty, I was taking more the sort of mythological angle and tying it into, effectively, "metal but kind of lucky."

Edit: It was in no way supposed to be historical iron, poetic or otherwise, but to embody the concept of it's relation to fey. Still all things worth pointing out, but it doesn't need a derail (it isn't one yet, just don't want it to stray from @stro's topic).

Thank you, Smiley
I checked the sizes, Tiny suits the concept(I was thinking their height is around 50-60 cm)
I also realized I might not have been clear (because in mythology by fairies you might mean a million things) I am referring to the popular variety with the wings,Tinkerbell sort of type.
I will post a draft version later on.
