"Crap, the robots!"  Alice stopped and bolted back to the terminal.  After setting Lady Joan down, she began issuing commands to the Security system:  Confirming the Enclave IFFs trigger hostile responses while she and her friends remain friendly; directing half of the bots down towards the shaft room, a quarter towards the bridge, and the last quarter towards the bridge.

As the battering assault continues on the door on level 3, Frank stands off to one side and braces himself, autoaxe at the ready. Below him, Hondo stays put on level 2, stepping backwards to get a better look at both doors on his level. Then, a second banging starts up on level 1, this time on the starboard side. Hondo rushes down to check the door, and sees a second Enclave squad attempting to breach the door in a similar fashion. With a muttered curse, he readies himself.

Alice, meanwhile, cracks her knuckles and goes to work setting the Ark’s ‘bot population to work. With fingers dancing across the keyboard, she sends half out into Engineering and half off toward the Bridge. The altered IFFs should see them cause plenty of havoc before they get put down. As she types, Emily, the Enclave doctor steps away from the group of civilians and walks toward the door. Elsie stands as if she’s going to stop her, but the doctor simply points at the door and says
“There are casualties out there. I am obligated to help. Please let me.” Elsie steps aside.

Marcus finishes treating the wounded, and starts dragging them toward the stairs to level 2. He leaves Audingas and Andy, and instead focuses on moving John and Stephen. Emily quickly walks over and lends a hand. As they work, one of the Enclave helms nearby crackles with an internal radio conversation.

After they have moved the two survivors, she looks to start checking the Enclave troops, and when she realises what’s been done with their bodies, she looks at Marcus in utter horror.
“Whu… what? Why did you do that?!”

Elsie follows her out on to the balcony, and as Emily begins helping Marcus, she mutters ‘Fuck this” She descends to level 1, pausing by Marcus and Emily to scoop up an Enclave laser weapon. She hefts it in hers hands, testing the weight, and then shoulders it and fires at the port drive-shaft. There is a blinding flash, and a gouge is taken out of the shaft. It continues turning, but now it is throwing off a streamer of molten metal as a cloud of flash-heated lubricant boils off of it. The port-side engine begins grinding and shaking violently.

With a look of determination, Elsie lines up the rifle and fires again...

The groups of security bots on their way to provide backup and cause a ruckus respectively, Alice took a moment to flip the IFF signals of the Enclave troops to hostile from friendly.

Ruckus plans set into motion, she began looking for information on that horrible noise coming from the shaft room, hoping it was something her friends wanted to happen, and that it wouldn't kill them all.

Hondo, curious at the crackling from the nearby helmet, scoops it up. Returning to a position of readiness next to the Level 1 door, he holds the opening of the helmet to his ear like a bizarre mockery of an old-fashioned telephone earpiece, wondering if he can get a sense of what's going on elsewhere.

With a loud CRUNCH, the door on level 3 begins to give way. Frank revs the autoaxe and slices viciously at the gauntleted fist as it protrudes through. With a shriek of pain, the crippled limb is quickly withdrawn. Below him on level 1, Hondo’s door continues to reverberate with the pounding assault from the troops on the far side. Hondo hefts his crowbar and takes a few practise swings. When they come through, they’re going to be pissed…

Marcus and Emily finish dragging the two survivors up to level 2, and as they lay down John’s unconscious body, she looks Marcus in the eye and says
“I need to go check those soldiers to see if any of them are still alive. If I do that, are you going to chop me up, too?”

Elsie snaps off another two shots at the port drive-shaft, and is rewarded with spectacular results. The first shot sears a huge chunk out of the shaft, and it begins bouncing up and down in its fittings, buckling the engine and port wall at either end of the drive shaft. The second shot cleaves it in half, and that’s when the trouble starts.

The end attached to the engine block sways up and down further and further with each revolution, until with a grinding screech it rattles to a halt. Smoke begins to pour out of the crippled engine, rising to fill the upper levels of the engine room. The end of the shaft protruding from the wall, however, comes to a halt in a somewhat more dramatic fashion; the fractured steel driveshaft immediately hinges upwards, slamming into the port wall with all the force of a ten-ton steel rod that has been turning at several hundred rpm… the effect is nothing short of spectacular, as the smashed and buckled port wall begins to bulge outward, dragged by the weight of the massive external turbine that is now spinning itself to destruction. The shriek of tearing metal is deafening, as the top half of the bulkhead actually begins to peel away from the Ark’s hull. The entire vessel immediately slews forward and off to the left, throwing everyone off their feet. The walls and floor shake violently and repeated explosions can be heard beyond engineering.

Looks like you broke it, huh?

"What the fuck just happened?!" Alice shouted at no one in particular as she rummaged in the system.

Marcus was about to answer the doctor before being thrown to the ground.  "Jesus.  We need to get out of here!"  Shouting into his Pip Boy he adds, "Alice!  We need a way off this thing.  You got any ideas?"  Then addressing everyone in the room in general, "And, I am going to need some help hauling these people out of here."

Frank grabs the autoaxe he dropped as he went ass over head, and scrambles to his feet. As he gets up he sneaks a peek through the door, to see what condition the armored bastards on the other side was in. Afterwards, he shouts a reply back down to Marcus. "I'd love to, but it's crawling with pissed off assholes up here!"

Elsie rides out the shockwave with one hand grasping a nearby support pillar, and the other a smoking laser rifle. Once the initial tilting chaos is over, she lets go of the support and sticks two fingers in her mouth, letting out a loud whistle. "TEX! Come on boy, time to leave..." She is surprisingly calm. One might almost think that *something* in the normally sociable Elsie's head has simply snapped.

The computer system is registering fatal damage to the forward port-side engine. The other engines are compensating, but the rear starboard-side engine is already showing signs of critical overheating. The panicked civilians begin running around like headless chickens, screaming and knocking things over as the tipped-over robots thrash around on the floor, unable to right themselves and still attempting to walk out of the door and into engineering.

Tex bolts past the mess, and runs down the nearby stairs to Elsie. He pauses in front of her and then barks and runs excitedly in circles. Nearby, Marcus bellows across the room, asking for help and suggestions; Emily shouts back
"We need to get to a lifeboat! Come on! The nearest set of emergency gear is 4 decks up and 1 frame over - we have to move!"

Frank gingerly peers through the gap between the doorframe and the crippled door. He sees the Enclave troops retreating back down the hallway, but the one with the Power Fist has his helmet off, apparently examining his wounded arm. With his good arm he levels a finger at Frank and shouts "I'll find you, asshole! Be sure of that!" With that, he turns and takes off after his fellows, leaving an empty hallway. Hondo sees a similar scene below, minus the personal threats...

Alice muttered a constant stream of profanity as she instructed the computer to direct coolant to the overheating engine. "Who wrecked my airship?" she paused to wail at no one in particular before resuming her cursing.  Plugging in her Pip-Boy and began to salvage as much information as she could from her now stricken airship, starting with schematics of the ship, engine designs, power armor plans and details (if available).

Frank shouts after the retreating Enclave troop, "Bring it ugly, I'll cut off both your arms next time!" Having said his piece, he turns and makes his way down to Marcus, to help carry the unconscious people off this flying deathtrap.

Hondo, listening at his helmet-phone, nods thoughtfully, and then his eyes go wide.

"Ay, peoples! The Captain just ordered abandon ship, and he's gonna kick off the auto destruct! We gotta go!" he shouts, hanging onto the helmet and starting up the stairs to join the rest of the group.
