With an expression of manic determination, Franklin keeps at it, determined to get at the soft, chewy center of this teeth-breakingly hard snack.

Marcus grunts as he slams into his opponent, pinning him to the wall.  He then proceeds to repeatedly slam his opponent's weapon arm into the wall, trying to get him to relinquish his grip.

Alice and Lady Joan surveyed the carnage in the driveshaft room.  When the trooper facing Franklin fell from the power of the ex-Vault Dweller's attack, Joan roared, the huge slug tearing into the sprawled goon.

Hondo sweeps the trooper's knees, flipping him onto his back. As the man's feet swing into the air, Hondo grabs him by the calves and USES HIM AS A CLUB on a fleeing technician.

Elsie stands on the edge of the balcony, peering about in addled confusion. Spotting the two goons on the same level as her and Alice on the far side of the room, she raises her Desert Eagle and - screwing up her face in anticipation of the recoil - fires twice.

The swirling melee below begins to inflict casualties; Frank bears down on the Encalve soldier with his autoaxe, creating an awful shrieking noise as the whirring blade bites down into the armour. The effect is like a can-opener, and the soft, fleshy soldier insider is ripped to shreds. A foot-wide streak of blood spatters up the bulkhead wall and across the underside of the level 2 balcony, raining down on Frank and coating him in a layer of gore.

Meanwhile, as Marcus battles back and forth with his target, Hondo lifts one of the troopers bodily off the ground. With a grunt of effort, he heaves the armoured mass at a fleeing technician. The poor man is crushed under the falling weight, and as the trooper tries to regain his footing, a deafining report echoes around the chamber, momentarily drowning out even the engines. The trooper's head simply vanishes, exploding like a ripe metal melon loaded with blood, grey-matter and teeth. The headless corpse - which had managed to drag itself up to one knee - topples over, collapsing into a heap on the deck.

Elsie follows Alice's lead, firing off a pair of large-caliber rounds at one of the snipers on level 2. After a momentary fumble with the safety, she fires, and is rewarded with a satisfying
SPATANG!! The trooper's head is snapped backwards as the round hits him right between the eyes... he steadies himself, and then taps his partner on the shoulder, gesturing at Elsie and Alice. After only a fraction of a second's hesitation, both soldiers shoulder their weapons and fire. A barrage of laser bolts rips back-and-forth along the balcony, and both women are forced to duck and weave, throwing themselves out of the way.

"Eeeeeeep!" Alice squeaked instartled fear as the laser bolts scored and gouged the metal around them.  Lady Joan turned and shouted at the two security troopers.

After almost losing his grip trying to knock the rifle free, Marcus decides to change his approach.  Seeing that the weapon is basically useless right now, so he tries to wrest away any other weapons which could be of use.

Hondo scrabbles for his handgun and throws open the door behind the fleeing techs, unwilling to let survivors get away that easy.

Franklin runs over to the one Marcus is grappling with, see if he can't distract the trooper a little bit by tickling his ribs with the autoaxe...

The vicious exchange of fire on level 2 continues, with Alice scoring penetrating hits on both troopers. She is in return nicked and winged by several laser bolts as she starts to back toward the door to robotics, Elsie fleeing past her for cover.

Below, Marcus holds one of the Enclave troops in place while Frank goes to work on him with his motorised can-opener, sparks flying everywhere. Hondo uses the brief lull in the melee to pursue the fleeing technicians, throwing open the door they used as a point of egress.

The stress of combat combined with the inability to do some damage against the trooper begins to take it's toll on Franklin's mind, and the little voice in the back of his head saying 'RIP AND TEAR!!!' over and over again is getting harder and harder to resist. Knowing he'll have to vent eventually, he lets out a mighty, furious 'RAAAARH!!' and lets his anger take the reins.

Alice's panicked shout reached across the room.  "HEELLLLPP!!"  She back peddled down the hallway as Lady Joan left another complaint with the establishment's staff.

Twisting the soldier left and right, Marcus tries to expose a weak point in the the soldier's armor.
