The young woman stands as still as she is able while Frank delivers his monologue, but her hands are still shaking. At the implied rape, a single tear rolls down her cheek and she bites her bottom lip to contain a sob. She silently nods several times. "Ok."

Franklin stares intently at the young woman, then breaks into a wide smile, as if he just met an old friend. "Excellent. I'm glad we're seeing eye to eye on this, I really am. Now, I believe my friend had some questions, miss...?"

"Emily.. what a lovely name. Now, you mentioned caps and drugs, elaborate please. Afterwards, who else is supposed to be here? You mentioned a doctor Chandra earlier? And just what the hell's going on in this place? Some sort of freaky experiments or something?"

She points at a nearby cabinet with glass panes in the doors. It is lined with shelves with bottles of every variety on the shelves. "I-In there. Pharmaceuticals and petty cash. The-the caps are in a box on the bottom shelf." While Marcus pops open the doors and begins ransacking the stock bottles, Frank waits for Emily to continue. "Doctor Chandra is the head researcher here, until we're up and mobile. The Ark is a mobile Vault." As she says that, the decking under your feet vibrates with the bass thrum of massive engines turning over. Then, with a sickening screeching of metal, the room violently tilts off to one side before it rights itself. After several moments of silence, renewed crying can be heard in the next room. A voice over the tannoy announces "TEST-FIRING SUCCESSFUL. WE ARE NOW FULLY OPERATIONAL." A cheer from dozens of voices is heard over the open tannoy before it cuts off. Emily looks at Frank and shrugs nervously.

"Mobile... as in flying? A flying vault?" In Franklin's mind, the image of the backtabbing bastard, the Overseer, merges with these assholes who kidnap children for their twisted experiments, and result is not pretty. A look of utter hatred, tinged with revulsion and bloody rage, flashes over his face as he takes several deep breaths and struggle to keep the rage contained. Repeating the sentence 'Not here, not now, save it for when it's needed' in his mind several times does the trick, as it often does, and he calms down again, looking deeply unhappy about everything instead of being two seconds away from biting the heads off kittens.

"We'll save that for later. Now, you have slaves here. We know 'cuz that's how we found your little hideout. I'm assuming they're the ones in the room over there, crying. Are they everyone you've got and what have you done to them?"

After giving it a cursory glance, Marcus adds all of the drugs to his own medical supplies and then picks through the various other pieces of equipment, his experienced eye pulling out the most useful gear.  Glancing back at Franklin, he motions for his bag and fills it up with some of the gear before handing the bag back over to him.

After the room practically throws itself sideways, Marcus utters, "Holy Mary Mother of God."  Then more loudly, "We need to go.  Where are the keys to the cells, Doctor?"

"Uh, Mister Robot, mang?" Hondo asks, sharing a nervous look with Elsie as they right themselves after the lurch, "What did they just 'test fire', and what does 'Fully Operational' mean?"

The robot answers Hondo. "ENGINE. TEST FI-ER-ING COM-PLETE. ARK FACILITY AT 70% OPERATIONAL CAPACITY."

Meanwhile, downstairs the terrified doctor answers Marcus. "Keys?! Um... the keys. Chandra keeps them on his belt. I... I don't know where he is!" She swallows, hard. "He's using these people to provide fresh DNA infusions for that monstrosity that he's incubating on the flight deck."

Marcus sighs.  "Why is nothing ever easy?"  Bringing up the PipBoy, he activates the radio.  "Hondo, you there buddy?  We don't have keys, we may need your help getting the cells open."  Half waiting for a response, he looks over to the doctor, "Are the cell doors alarmed?"

Alice continued her work of subverting the computer systems, this mobile vault far too awesome to be left in the hands of these [unprintable] people.

"A'ight," Hondo acknowledges over his Pip-Boy, letting Bernie's now smothered corpse settle gently back in its chair, leaning it casually against the wall like the poor overworked techie's just drowsy. "Comin' down."

While Alice continues her work, shepherded by Elsie, Hondo heads downstairs to join the others. Upon sight of Hondo she gasps, and very nearly faints. The three men escort a terrified Emily into the next room.

The 'cell block' is apparently almost completely kitbashed, with the room split into three portions; a cell on each side and a central walkway. Each 'cell' (if it can really be called that) is separated from the main part of the room by a set of steel bars welded to the floor and ceiling panels. A single narrow door sits halfway along the wall of each cell, held shut with a sturdy looking chain and a padlock.

Each cell has around half-a-dozen people inside, all dressed wasteland-fashion. The left-hand cell contains four men and two women, one of which nurses a wailing infant. The right-hand cell contains a man, a woman, an adolescent girl and two young boys. You recognise the girl and one of the boys as the missing kids.

The far end of the room is a doorless wall, covered in maintenance panels that are labelled with technical details.

Marcus turns to Hondo and Franklin.  "You guys think you can get those open?"  Then returning to his PipBoy, "Hey, Alice.  There are maintenance panels covered with some technical mumbo-jumbo down here.  How are things going up there?"

"Between the two of us? Yeah, I think we'll manage. And if we don't, there's always this..." Franklin pats the autoaxe hanging at his side. He walks down to the middle of the walkway, and adresses all of the prisoners. "Allright people, listen up. We're gonna get you out of here, but that means you're gonna have to do exactly as we say and follow our lead on everything, clear? One fuckup and it's back here, or worse, dead. So stay low, stay silent and keep close to us, and you might just see the sun again."
