Well pull up a seat at the black jack table! Or are the free drinks to players gone, now, too? lol

And there's the problem. I don't like to gamble, not even the slots. I'm not sure why, it just doesn't excite me in the slightest.

The one thing I have against dining in Vegas is the drinking. US$7 for an American beer is a bit over the top. And by a bit I mean a whole heck of a lot! Sure, that was at a bar inside a casino, but still.

Depends on the beer.

Most craft and micro brews are in that neighborhood at a bar.

What about Sam Adams? I know it's different from the Buds, et al, but I wouldn't call it a craft beer.

At least the spirits were priced reasonably. I may just stick to those in the future.

Regardless of you not wanting to call it a craft beer, it is. Jim Koch may be the largest american brewer, but he still brews less beer then Anheuser-Bush spills on it's packaging line.

And, yeah, $7 is about right for a Sam Adams in a night club bar.

If you want cheap drinks, Hooters next door had $1.50 domestics.  Also, Hooters wings.  Booyah!!

Cheap buffets are found at the various Stations casinos scattered about town, more locals centric.  The food court at Excaliber seemed popular.  Someone brought in a 4' diameter pizza box with a 4' diameter pizza inside.  I have no idea where that comes from, but it looked tasty.  HUGELY tasty.  Cheesy

It was great to meet all the Crafty folks! You are a bunch of awesome people, with awesome games.  :-D  Looking forward to more Crafty awesomeness next year!

Free drinks at the gambling tables will never end. They want their players tipsy, after all. They'll lose more that way.

As for the cheap buffets, you just gotta know where to go. If you want cheap, you gotta get in a car and get off the strip. Even just on the other side of the freeway, or up or down the 15 by 5 or 10 minutes and you'll find hella deals.

I didn't manage to go to NeonCon, but I am glad Crafty was there. I just snagged a 2nd printing FC and print copy of Adventure Companion from someone who won them at NeonCon.

I heard it went well.

A friend of mine who co-operates NeonCon has yet to tell me anything but from attendees it sounds like it went well. The last few times I' went to Vegas, I crash on friends' couches and generally only paid for either fuel or food.

Hadn't heard of NeonCon before. What kind of con is it?

The awesome kind.

You've got games. You've got seminars. You've got parties. You've got Las Vegas. You've got your own chapter of Great Moments in Drunken Hookup Failure.

Edit: Perhaps I've said too much.

I, for one, am not slighted. Smiley

That's why you bring your own (or know the right parties to crash)! We had enough alcohol between our industry rooms to (seriously) cover all of us for at least two shows. At least.

Oh we'll be back! We probably won't repeat all of this year's various hijinks but I'm sure we'll come up with new ones! Wink
