In a word, awesome. The events were lively and fun, people had a great time (including us), sales were strong, we had great booth placement, CreativeU seems to be slowly gaining momentum, and, well, it's VEGAS BABY VEGAS!

Hope to see more of you there next year. We promise we'll have (many) more books on the table by then. Smiley

Is there a date for next year. If my wife can get my Vegan fix, and me my Con-Gaming fix at the same time, that'd be awesome.

I'll try not to punch any peddler on the sidewalk flicking their ad cards at me.

I believe it will once again be the first weekend in November (so, 11/3 to 11/6), but don't quote me on that.

There were, sadly, quite a few of those. Always a downside... But as downsides go...

After two days in Vegas I was shouting 'soy Diablo' at them in my best bad Spanish. I can understand why they're there, but when there's kids around it's just not good.

You were identifying yourself as the devil? Wouldn't that prompt them to give you more pron?  Evil

I did say bad Spanish Wink I knew diablo, and soy sounded like the right bit. Not that it matters much anyway. Nothing short of walking up to them and asking for their papers would get a response, I think Tongue

True. Maybe we should just get some people to dress up in (rpg) fantasy outfits and hand out mock cards with things like 'Call Galadrial for a good time' on them. Then again, costume plus Vegas-level heat usually isn't a good mix.

Nice! Vegas? Maybe I shouldn't've asked what happened then hehe.
Glad you made it back!
Sheesh, a gamer con with all those cheap buffets...must have been horrific!

Hadn't heard of NeonCon before. What kind of con is it?

The awesome kind.

You've got games. You've got seminars. You've got parties. You've got Las Vegas. You've got your own chapter of Great Moments in Drunken Hookup Failure.

Edit: Perhaps I've said too much.

The above may be conjecture, deliberate paraphrase, or outright bullshit.

The cheap buffets have gone the way of the dodo - the best you'll get is the Tour De Buffet for $40/day. Though you could still find a $6 steak dinner across the street at the Excaliber.

Hell that ain't bad! Better than any deals we get at GenCon, that's for sure.
Never been to Vegas. Probably for the better (any chance/skill game that involves money, I lose at).
Glad ya had fun! Wish my job would send me to Vegas lol.

The one thing I have against dining in Vegas is the drinking. US$7 for an American beer is a bit over the top. And by a bit I mean a whole heck of a lot! Sure, that was at a bar inside a casino, but still.

Well pull up a seat at the black jack table! Or are the free drinks to players gone, now, too? lol
