For me, I always felt sort of jipped that Crafty would always release the core in dead tree only to release supplements in PDFs.  I'm glad that they are more willing to do print runs of supplements for Fantasy Craft.

Thanks Crafty for catering to those of us who dislike purchasing PDF products!

To be fair, this is just the latest step on a very long road for us. Remember, we started as a PDF-only company, with no expectations that we'd do any print at all. We are, however, lovers of books as well, and couldn't pass up the opportunity to expand - and here we are. Smiley

Oh, and since we're talking dead tree, I should point out that you can actually score your very own copy of the print version of the Adventure Companion as early as November 4 (that's next Thursday). We'll have pre-release copies available for sale at NeonCon in Las Vegas. Hope to see you there!

So does this mean that the previews will start when the PDF is released? Or is the PDF coming out on Friday following the first preview or something?

In any case a series of previews of a released product just probably won't have that much draw.

Now if the previews started now, especially if you've got something vaguely Halloween themed in the book....

The previews are as much for dead tree folks as PDF lovers. The first of them will hit when the PDF releases and the rest will roll out leading up to the release of the print version.

Custom Construction, a list of tweaks to the Unborn's construction, like a hollow torso or larger/smaller size.

Sounds like I can now put together the greatest adventuring party ever Grin

We actually started that idea with "OK, so...do we have a feat you can build Bender with?"

He speaks the truth. I distinctly remember the conversation because I wasn't drinking that night, which is unusual for a design meeting. (That Alex, he's tough to take for more than 17-1/2 minutes.)

Meh, I'll consider it a good purchase even with the reprint.

On other topics:
I'm assuming the answer's no, but are there any new species feats for Unborn?

There's quite a few, actually.
Custom Construction, a list of tweaks to the Unborn's construction, like a hollow torso or larger/smaller size.
Living Weapon, a list of natural attacks and bonuses for the Unborn (and Rootwalkers) like Strong Legs for a Trample Attack.
Two-Headed, exactly what it sounds like, but is also available for Giants and Ogres.
Wheeled, you has wheels instead of legs!

I'm waiting for the first Two-Headed, Multi-Armed, Multi-Legged, Custom and Specially Constructed monstrousity to appear shortly after the book is released....

A guy in my group made a Floating, Multi-Armed, Specially Constructed, Elemental Unborn with a Charisma of about 2.  I suspect he'll be all over that.  Oh and it was a Mage.

Clever, but you can also cue your own.

I wanted one that didn't require an additional click.

Well, you can't blame me for trying.

....the previews will be coming throughout the month of November (every Monday, in fact)....
The first of them will hit when the PDF releases.....
Does this indicate that the PDF releases on Nov 1?

PM me for Paypal information. I'll corner the market on early releases of the book.

I kid, I kid.
