Did anyone play (or still does play) the Spycraft CCG?

I came across some cheap starters and boosters a while back, and it was REALLY FUN!

The only problem is that i came across a few questions, and unfortunatly there isnt really anywhere on the net to discuss the game.

There is another post on the forums about adding a CCG board to Crafty forums:
http://www.crafty-games.com/forum/index.php?topic=109.0

Is anyone interested, or is there anyone on these forums that could help me with questions re the CCG?

Thanks

I used to play, and it used to be fun. The last expansion kinda made it unfun though, especially if anyone in your playgroup was a Bloodvine player. And Banshee.Net kinda got the shaft throughout, so it was hard to have fun playing as them.

Go Nine Tiger Dynasty!

EDIT: Also, just ask any question I'll answer to the best of my ability. I'm by no means an expert, but I have a firm grasp of the rules.

I played the first set.  It was quite fun.  Then, life took away my time for CCGs.  LOL.  Been debating putting together sets, but once a card game goes out of print, it's hard to do.

This is a really noob question, but can you have multiple copies of the same agent in play at the same time?
(i know you can have 3 copies of each card in a deck)
(gameplay wise i think you can, but thematically i thought it was weird, having like 3 mr syndes working for you at the same time)

Also, are there any rough guidelines what is a good ratio of agents/gear/action cards in a deck?

To answer your first question, yes you can have up to three of any non-unique Agent card in play. Also, the Shadow Patriots Agent Lt. Folley was ruled to be considered Unique.

As to ratios, it's dependant on Faction and theme of the deck... Nine Tigers would be gear heavy to arm their warriors to the teeth, while a Franchise deck might be Action heavy to represent their wicked bag of tricks. It's all dependant on what you are going for with the deck.

There was a general ratio of 20 Agents, 20 Actions and 10 Gear floating around but was only used as a template and tweaked heavily to fit faction and style of play.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I just had some other questions:

When you redirect an action, do you use the new agents skill to determine the TN?

Also, Can you deliberatly redirect an action to a different agent so that you can trigger something (eg if this was a Intrigue mission and the enemy wanted to Baffle one of your agents, could you use "mistaken identity" to redirect an action to another agent eg "the mistress" to make the oposing agent exposed)

Or another example, could you redirect the baffle action to a face down "ambush card"? thus triggering its effects?

"Mistaken Identity: React Charisma 6: After an action targets this agent: Redirect the action to another one of your agents."

"the mistress: React Charisma X: After an enemy agent targets the Mistress with an action: Expose the agent. The TN is the acting agent's charisma."

"Ambush: React Craft 7: After Ambush is targeted by an enemy agent while facedown and in play: Wound the acting agent twice. This action is performed by your leader. This action may be performed while Ambush is in your discard pile and may be performed at headquarters."

For anyone that may be still interested in the CCG, i recently discovered that at the Alderac forums, there is an active thread about old AEG games, including spycraft!

Its got lots of info about the history of the metagame, rules clarifications and deck lists.

The thread is here:
