I've decided to "convert" the various near-human species (and Saurians) into human talents (which will not actually be for the human species, so don't worry if they seem odd).  To hopefully avoid confusion I'm renaming them, but pech is giving me trouble.  I'm hoping someone (who's probably not as obsessive over precise detail as me) can provide a suggestion I haven't thought of.

Stout (as dwarf) [Option: You may replace Enlightened Crafting with Enlightened Resolve.]
Predator (as elf)
Titanic (as giant)
Skitterer (as goblin)
Brute (as ogre)
Fury (as orc)
— (as pech)

Squat would work, for everything else I'm trying to avoid associations with a specific standard race or look.

Other options: Elite; angsty; elder
Elite's nice.  I may actually have to design an "Angsty" just to be able to use it.  Elder may actually be a very good suggestion, since I forgot about Burden of the Ages.

Petite; pygmy; half-pint; distilled; smallfellow
I think I'll use "Petite".  Thanks.

A warning on squat: That wasn't actually a very serious suggestion, since the term is forever associated by a now-defunct brand of dwarves-in-space.

Will one of them be named Guinness?

Keep in mind that human talents are supposed to be Adjectives, so some of those need to be changed to an adjective form:
Predator -> Predatory
Skitterer -> Skittery
Brute -> Brutish
Fury -> Furious (Wrathful? This one doesn't seem to work well)

Predator -> Predatory
This won't work, as it's supposed to be based on how much they are like the image often given to predators, with good senses, speed, elegance, and aloofness.

Skitterer -> Skittery
I probably mean "scurry" instead of "skitter".

Brute -> Brutish
This one works.

Fury -> Furious (Wrathful? This one doesn't seem to work well)
It doesn't work because this is another time when you're loosing the meaning by changing the word: "fury", in describing a thing, doesn't have to apply to that thing all the time; "furious" is a state of being, so a thing can only be furious sometimes.

How about Acute? That could define both their senses and the tops of their ears.

Not to mention... "Awww, isn't that acute elf?"  Evil

But that only encompasses their senses.

Elite's probably better, it also works for another idea I was going for

I'm not intending anyone needs to remember that they're Adjective Species, just the word.

You don't think that the term Treehuggin' would work?

Only if it meant "so as to cut off their sap circulation to kill them and let the predator feat on its wood". Evil

I've been trying out some adjective names for Fury:

Volcanic; fiery; impulsive; quick-tempered; short fused; volatile.  Hot-blooded; hot-tempered; impetuous.

Elite also captures another element: Tolkien's elves were supposed to embody both the scientific as well as the artistic man, both which we often put in today's categories of "elites."
