Not in my game.
If the characters were desperate, needed the cash and happened to have a UAV there to sell, I'd allow it (once).
However requisitioning expensive military hardware purely for the purposes of selling it (presumably) on the black market is something else entirely.

O, I'm not done. Even the Possessions 1 character can get a Caliber II pick--which can be a vehicle--and sell his warbird in under an hour for $2.5 million. And neither that nor the close-range UAV are capital-R restricted.

I've always assumed this is how PCs built organizations in-game, given the otherwise restrictive costs of Science/Economy checks. The session starts and--after a Ebaying your warbird--you give your PL a couple of hundred grand and say to the GC, "Pete's off making a Science/Economy check. He'll be back in a month." Repeat each mission.

Hm. It'd probably work even better with a Contact. Yeah, a Partner-grade Contact (pretty easy, even at level 1) has a Science/Economy check of +20, while a Confederate-grade Contact can have Ptm's assistance (¼) class ability. Craigslist your warbird in under an hour, summon both your Contacts in 5.5-22 minutes and have them work for a little over a week and--boom!--you're head of new organization. And you don't really have to worry about the success of those checks until you hit total Ratings of 37* (and a half--what is up with that?).

* Personally, I'd go for an organization with Goals 10, History 6, Image 10, Sites 1, Tools 10 (everything V but W--IV). Yes, Goals 10. I want my organization--which I'm the head of, BTW--to give me 20 action dice once per session to use on any opposed skill check. Yeah, I'm using it on an Athletics/Grapple check. How else does one truly Triumph?

Hi, my name is Sletchman, and I've done everything Black Cheese just listed in actual gameplay...

My faceman took a Blackhawk on mission as a possession just so I could hock it to show that my cover of being a high end arms dealer was legit - the agency said I couldn't have one as mission gear.  I used the proceeds to get a contact to set up an organisation for me, further legitimising the cover ID.

Wow. I can almost see Alex crossing those pages out of the book with a big black marker as they prep for SC 3rd ed.

Yeah, but then what? We've had this talk--mountains of cash is a superpower. Ask Bruce Wayne or Tony Stark. In 1.0 me and Reg broke the crap out of the Filthy Rich feat--over and over (sometimes it was just to keep us in the game longer!).

Any time you equate money and power, the game loses. Money can't equal power, because there's always a way to get quick cash.

Which is pretty much why Mastercraft (at least as it is represeted by FantasyCraft) has 2 economies - money (small coin), which honestly doesn't do much other that purchase small one-shot buffs and bonuses and stroke the player's ego, and reputation (big coin) which you cannot stock up on by selling things. And the links between the two... don't exist and hopefully never will.

1st ed and 2.0 had big coin (picks) and small coin($) too, but as you ably demonstrated, allowing players to convert to the other under any circumstances turns dumb real fast. Lesson learned. I doubt 3rd ed will allow anything of the sort.

I, as a GM (and even player), have trouble justifying either a UAV or a bomber as personal lifestyle vehicles and would Just Say No (tm) to that kind of crap.  I think most GMs would also see the cheese inherent in that.  Those that dont would have no trouble running that kind of game, so more power to them!

YMMV
