"my pardons miss", Alden says as he takes a step back " i did not mean to wound your sensibilities my name is Alden, and unless i am mistaken this battle is not yet ended, and i am sure you will find further opportunities to unleash your rage on deserving targets if we move on."

Before anyone can do anything else, a wagon loaded with spirits explodes into flames to the south, blocking the road. The song of the goblins capering around it disintegrates into titters as some of them get caught in the flames and run around, on fire, in a panic. After a moment their singing starts back up again at a more fevered, frenetic pitch. Back lit by the flames, they turn and scamper towards you.

Goblin Pyros Map

Teo, I assumed you put the three Touch of Lights you could get off in the time you had to Argan since he only had one vitality left. If not, just tell me who you patched up. You’re the green chits, same numbers as before. Your number’s on the combat sheet on the Special Character’s tab. The yellow chit is the dog. Red chits are the goblins, 1 through 11 are the Goblin Warriors, armed with torches and dogslicers (crude long knives) and wearing crude partial leather armor. Red 12 is a female goblin in crude partial studded leather, wielding a dogslicer and a crude whip. The rest of the goblins seem to be following her lead as she shrieks and chants goblin songs about killing and burning and pillaging.

"or they may just come to us", Alden states as he turns to regard the latest threat. then reciting a brief chant as he eyes the group loosing a ball of light at the goblins. a blinding light flashing suddenly from the small globe. alden then moves towards the fight.

Paiter lets loose a blast from his horn “Your Doom!” he yells from beside his massive employer meeting the eye of the nearest goblin and gesturing in Weoxgyld’s direction with his cutlass
(click to show/hide)
Weoxgyld, grim now that his anger has been vented, readies and throws a thick javelin at the nearest goblin.
(click to show/hide)
EDIT: Note: Weoxgyld has already unslung his shield during the last battle so enjoys +2 defence.

Annie tugs Divia's hand after nodding at her sage advice about Giants. "I saw some more of those gobbly things."

"Goblins," Divia corrects automatically, then looks down in alarm. "Where, honey?"

"On the other side of that," Annie points at the shiny new cathedral. "They were doing something to the ground. And they had grown-ups with them."

Oh, fantastic!

Before she can even begin to think of telling anyone this, there comes the hideously familiar sound of something catching on fire to the south. Peering around the corner of the skewered stall, she spots the next wave of the little rat fuck bastards cavorting in front of a flaming wagon that she guesses has shown up late to the party when it should have been the prelude to the first attack.

She should run. Just pick up Annie and get the hell out of this wretched place. But digging up grave yards is never good, especially when the skirmishing in the square is clearly a diversionary tactic

OOC:
Annie, Full Action: grab hold of Divia and get onto her back
Divia, Full Action: double move to edge of cathedral, taking up position between the stall and the tree

Eloise fights down the urge to be sick after the previous fight, having never fought beyond first blood before. Seeing more goblins pouring into the square she straightens herself up and readies her weapon again.

Haldar whirls towards the sudden flash of light and growls very much like his companion would, his anger flaring and becoming rage.  He steps forward and attacks.   Volokkor waits , sensing his pack leader's anger and then slips in to attack the nearest goblin.

((reminder:  Any ally adjacent to an enemy that Volokkor is adjacent to is considered to be flanking, no matter the actual configuration.))

OOC: Up to Teo.

Paiter steps toward the mob of goblins, blowing his horn and using his boss’s size as a threat. Goblin 8 cringes for a moment, before the Warchanter’s lash and song drive it forward.

Weoxgyld’s javalin goes wide, destroying the stall to the southwest of the Goblins.

Goblin Warrior 4 runs, screaming and waving it’s torch and dogslicer up to Argan and laughs with (pyro)manical glee as it thrusts it’s torch at him. The big man doesn’t even flinch as the torch narrowly misses his face.

Goblin Warrior 6 runs up to Shyla and swings it’s torch at her. Well, the little freak tries to, but it’s so far off she can’t even feel the warmth of the flame.

Goblin Warrior 8 joins 6 and they both swarm Shyla, their blades coming far to close for her comfort as the goblins keep singing their song.

(click to show/hide)

Divia Mal waits for Annie.

Alden Smith calls upon Iomedae, a flash of light illuminating the square far more brilliantly then the fires. The goblins shriek with fright but most shake off the effects. Five of them, including the leader, are blinking and looking around bleary eyed. Alden then moves to support Argan and Shyla.

Goblin Warrior 9 squeels excitedly and drops it’s dogslicer to pick up a pickle from the ground, craming it in it’s mouth.

Haldar roars with rage and steps into Goblin 6, driving his spear into the monster side. It manages to squirm out of the way at the last moment, taking a deep gash instead of a fatal wound.

Goblin Warrior 5 runs up to Alden and swarms him with Goblins 4 and 8, pressing him hard, but unable to find a chink in his armor.

The Goblin Warchanter moves forward and then says something in her foul tounge, gesturing and pointing at Weox. An icy chill grips his heart as he’s filled with an unearthly fear. It passes in a moment, but he’s left shaken by the experience.

Goblin Warrior 10 runs towards Weox’s left foot.

Goblin Warrior 3 scampers further into the square.

Teo points to one goblin (#6), and yells: "Doom take you! Doom and fire!" And he points to another (#8): "You will taste the bite of Iomedae's Justice!"

As the goblins swarm her, Shyla mutters, "Queen of Pirates, I will NOT be killed by these pathetic monsters." She takes a narrow stance, her main gauche held out before her and her sword held up on high. As the goblins swing and stab, she brings her sword down in two flashing swipes.

Goblin Warrior 10 runs towards Weox’s left foot.

Goblin Warrior 3 scampers further into the square.

Teo shouts at the nearest goblins, raining dire imprecations upon them. He feels a measure of the Light of the Sword’s power flow through him, her light shining briefly from his sword. The goblins cower in terror briefly before turning to flee and running into each other, there skulls conking together like a pair of horse chestnuts. They both sump to the cobblestones, out cold.

Goblin Warrior 2 runs up to the fray, it’s arms and head flapping about and leaps into the scrum on Alden with Goblins 4 and 5, landing on his face and biting his nose hard before Alden throw the freak off.

(click to show/hide)

Annie climbs onto Divia’s back.

Divia Mal bravely runs away. Wink

Eloise steps around Argan, her falcata flashing up and through the goblin while it was focused on the big man. The goblin warchanter hisses in rage as she sees the goblin go down, and then cackles upon seeing the design of Shelyn worked into a broach.

Argan slings his shield off his back, using it to block a swung torch from Goblin 5 as he sidesteps around it and swings his massive sword at it, missing high.

Goblin Warrior 11 moves to attack Argan, swarming him with goblin 5., but he’s able to easily repulse their attacks.

Goblin Warrior 1 runs at Shyla, swigning it’s torch wildly at her. She’s barely able to avoid the flaming stick, drawing on everything she learned in the salle with her sword master, and the studio with her dance master to keep herself and her clothing away from the flame.

(click to show/hide)

Shlya lunges forward, driving her main gauche up under Goblin 2’s jaw, moving through the goblin line, spinning to dislodge the corpse from her off hand and to build momentum to cut at Goblin 5 decapitating it cleanly, earning back some of her confidence.

Volokkor runs past Haldar, a black blur as he slips between Alden and Argan, flying past Eloise. Goblin 1 looks up, it’s eyes wide in terror and betrayal as the wolf takes the goblin and shakes it like a rag doll, tossing the corpse away and turning to growl at the nearby goblins.

Goblin Warrior 7 runs around the square like a chicken with it’s head cut off before stopping next to Shyla, looking up at her with big puppy dog eyes.

OOC: End of round... obviously I needed to make these things tougher. Wink

Peaking around the corner of the stall to observe the tide of the battle and seeing that the express elevator option to the roof of the emple is currently still occupied with the goblins, Divia makes sure Annie's limbs are firmly clamped around her before dashing into the temple. Hopefully once inside, some suitable platform for observing what's happening on the other side of the building in more detail will present itself.

OOC:
Divia: Double move into the temple, preferably looking for roof access once inside
Annie: Keep hold of Divia

Paiter steps forward making two swift cuts at the goblin with his sword.

Weoxgyld, though shaken remembers the lessons of his father. He readies and hurls a javelin at the war chanter. Weoxgyld trusts Paiter’s long experience in boarding actions to take care of the nuisance at his feet.

EDIT: Note: Woexgyld unslung his shield during the last fight so enjoys a +2 defence
