Satisfied that for the moment no further menace is about to appear, Divia ducks into the cavern and retrieves the two arrows that missed their mark, returning them to her quiver. Only then does she prod the corpse with the toe of her boot.

"I've got a bad feeling about this."

Seeing that Paiter is tending to Alden, he looks around.

"Divia, Argan, I need you to watch the corridor.  We don't want to be surprised in this hole. Haldir, help me study the corpse. Mandy, I need you and Volokkr to search the room. Paiter, let me know how Alden is doing when you figure it out."

With that, Teo sets down his sword and shield, and steps up to the corpse.

What more can I learn?

Haldar joins Teo at the corpse of the creature, helping him examine it as he sends Volo to help out Mandy.  He mutters half under his breath, "This sure as the north is frozen isn't any goblin."

Shyla puts away her sword and retrieves her glowing rock from the cavern floor. She maintains her vigil in the corridor glancing back to the group. "The hell was that thing and what was it doing down here?"

As you prod the corpse and Teo looks at the corpse it begins to break down through a mixture of melting and sublimation.

Paiter circles the chamber to see if there is anything else of interest

You guys (and girls and canines) find nothing of note, or anything at all to be honest, in the small cave

"Well, that was strange. Let's form back up and proceed. Do any wounds need tending before we continue?"

<Assuming the answer is no.> Teo picks up his shield and sword and moves up to join Shyla. "That was a horror. It appeared to be something out of a story to scare misbehaving Varisian children. If my guess is right, it was a wrathspawn. It does not bode well for those wishing the rest of this cave to be empty.

"And thanks for holding the tunnel. It's not easy sitting still when others are in peril."

While we reassemble, Teo takes time to renew some glowing rocks.

The tunnel continues past the entrance to the cave. It splits a few down, with a passage going to the right. Both the original passage and the new one extend beyond your light.

Divia once again takes the lead as, arrow nocked to her bow, she heads down the tunnel to the right with Shyla at her back.

"It'd be so much easie if we could just dig a hole and flush this place like we used to do with rat nests in Magnimar," she mutters just loud enough for the pirate to hear.

Paiter waits as the party begins to march out so he can take his assigned place in the established order.
