Hey I just wanted to know if the Fantasycarft second edition book was in stores yet.  I called up my local game store and was told the book wasn't out yet and that it maybe out in Oct.  Is this true?

It'd better not be! Smiley

The book has solicited for August, and is in the Studio 2 warehouse now. According to the Studio 2 website, the book is to release on August 31 (right on schedule, if not a hair late), and can be preordered here. I'd advise your FLGS to look at the Greater Games Catalog (we have an ad there) or to call up their distributor and ask again Smiley

Is the second edition the same as the second printing?  Did I just purchase the pdf only to purchase it again in 2 weeks?

To be clear, there is no second EDITION book, only the second PRINTING. Grimace, you've got the latest tech ahead of anyone else, is all Smiley

Hi Pat.

My FLGS gets their games via a distributor called Esdevium Games in the UK. Any idea if Esdevium will be stocking copies of FC soon.? There was no mention of it in their weekly newsletter. Cheers.

Thanks for the heads up! Esdevium should be carrying our products but I'll check with Studio 2 and make sure. Might also be that there's some delay with certain international street dates. More as I have updates.

Heard back...

All distributor orders are shipped simultaneously - in this case, last week - and between the usual (minor) overseas shipping delays and given there's a freight forwarder involved, you should probably expect about a week's delay between U.S. and other street dates - sometimes a bit more but usually not less.

Up shot: Check with yoru FLGS this coming week and if they still don't have it, or have an ETA for it, have the store check in with Esdevium to get a proper release date.

Thanks for supporting us at your local retailer!

Esdevium are the big boys in game distribution in the UK, I'd be very surprised if they don't get it in.

It's showing up in the Esvedium Latest Releases announcement for week commencing 13th Sept 2010.
That means that local shops should begin stocking it by the following week.
