I've been following the feeds from Kickstarter and a couple other crowfunding sites, and a couple days ago i found a pledge for Steampunk Musha. I think i heard about this project for the first time in this forum, but i'm not 100% sure.

It seems they're trying to get money to publish the book, but unfortunately i doubt they will get the money ask for in the 13 days left.

I hadn't even heard of this, which is a bummer, because I though Musha sounded neat when I heard about it a few years ago.

(We will ignore the fact that they are not using Mastercraft as the crunch under their fluff.)

I really hope that this is not the only option to publish the book. I think they made a mistake making a unique big pledge for both the rpg and the anthology. usually is best to make smaller pledges with this kind of things...

Behold:  Thread NECROMANCY!

Anyhow, Steampunk Musha:  Victoriental Adventures came up on the Kickstarter again.  Much more modest, and they hit their target.

It has enough backers to get them going.  I'm thinking that the minor fiddling to use FC crunch instead of Pathfinder will be worth it and run a game on the forum.  (Not before October, when this comes out.)

Sorry.  After a search, I found I'm confusing Steampunk Musha with Iron Dynasty.  You'd think we wouldn't see that many samurai/steampunk mash-ups, and yet here's two. Smiley

To be perfectly honest, I'm surprised there isn't more.  Because don't nerds love Steampunk and Japan (with Samurai and Ninja getting special mention) - so why not combine them both and sell bucketloads?

Toss in pirates, dinosaurs, zombie and a female librarian who is part-time equestrian and she used to be a cheerleader and a gymnast...

Come to think of it, I had that dream a few times.  Grin

Ever have that dream about the ball:  Folks are dressed in Edwardian style clothes and dancing.  Then the zombies, maybe a vampire or two, come in.  Apparently you can hide a sawed off shotgun in the bustle of those dresses.  Oh, and the band laid down covering fire as the dancers withdrew...
