I wish i could fly to America first class for only $650 AUD from Australia....

Id say its likely to cost a minimum of $2000 return for travel, and thats just for Economy class.

That's if you're on the east coast too! Spare a thought for us suckers in the west!

Quote from: Wolverine link=topic=396.msg5689#msg5689

Oh, and for those of you who heard about the DnD 4 (or DnD: Jumping the Shark, as I like to call it) announcement - Fantasycraft should (all going well) be out in time to snap up all those gamers disillusioned by the changes that they make. Oh, and there wasn't a single boo during the Crafty seminar Wink

Yeah, I wasn't really too interested in fantasycraft at first, but in gaming, I really dig skills. I haven't heard a single peep out of the team about anything meaningful being done with skills (other than dreading going the way of SWSE), just bs like making fighters like wizards and wizards like fighters and crying over spending xp to make magic items. Oy.

Side note... you were there, Wolverine? I met waterdhavian, but didn't get to meet you. Which one were you? The one asking about "dickhead" supplements?  Grin

During the Q&A session, Wolvie was asking about Decade books. Alex couldn't quite follow Wolvie's accent. Alex made him repeat it a few time, winced again, and said jokingly "Dickhead books".  Grin

FWIW, after the humorous dialectual hurdles were overcome, Alex revealed that there are two Decade books in the hopper for 10KB... IIRC, one prohibition era, one 70s/early 80s era.  Smiley

Well, as one who went bye the Mongoose booth a couple of times and cussing both due to lack of book, it was enjoyable.  I am sorry I missed the Crafty seminar, but I was in a GMing seminar at the time.

You just said "prohibition era" and "10KB" in the same sentence! Hey everyone, Psion just said "prohibition era" and "10KB" in the same sentence! Tell me one day I will hold this supplement in my hands, and I'll tell you how the world just became a better, more exciting place! Cool

Don't forget to mention the personal finish the Crafty crew put on the session. Patrick and Alex invited a small(ish) group of us to grab some food and beer and shoot the sh*t at a local watering hole, and what should have been a simple late dinner turned into four hours of intense geekery, with some surprisingly deep conversation. (Unfortunately, Scott couldn't come. He had to hit the keyboard, as he put it. You'd think he was a writer, or something. Grin ) I think we all finally staggered back to our hotels at 1 o'clock in the morning. It was great fun.

Oh, and Wolverine was introduced to buffalo tortillas. After a brief moment of culture shock, during which we had to explain that the buffalo had been repopulated (largely so we could eat them) and were no longer endangered, he took to them with gusto. *steeples fingers and squints conspiratorially* Excellent.

Ah, man, don't tell me that. I'm jealous.

Alas, the ENnies was my wife's chance to dress up, and if I skipped out, there'd have been hell to pay.  Sad

So what were the big crafty announcements that they haven't put up yet?

I prefer Dickhead supplements.  They would be appropriate for some upcoming classes.

So what were the big crafty announcements that they haven't put up yet?

Well, might be best to wait until waterdhavian puts the vid up, but here's as best as I can remember.

Well as tracker7 mentions, World on Fire on the way, but held up in customs.

World on Fire will just put out the faction books, and a few more, but after that, the setting is over and won't see further development.

Two decade books are also in the works for 10KB. Don't necessarily Believe mongoose dates for 10KB, but it wasn't sounding too unrealistic.

Farthest Star, Crucible, and Shatterpunk are underway. Crucible's target date is Halloween 2008, but the other dates are TBD.

FantasyCraft iwas announced, and the cover art was shown. There are several FantasyCraft settings planned, many were discussed. One, Wyrmstone is by Brandon of the Lspy crew, and it was sampled at the LSpy special event. (I looked at the character sheets and it rocked.)

Alex's Fragile Minds was discussed, with the table of sproing. Fragile Minds does not need to have supernatural elements. (Conversely, Crucible does not, by default, use the table of sproing.)

Alex remains mysterious about what differentiates Shatterpunk for standard Cyberpunk.

1e updates... probably won't continue as is. However, they will probably still   put out unconverted 1e supplements and make a single, collected psionics book.

Other products were discussed... Spellbound series, The Big Score. Beatdown's development will be dependent upon how Practice Makes Perfect plays out.

A few tickles about "the Ten". When I asked about a pulp product, Alex revealed that related to the last of "the Ten".

Er, I'm sure I'm missing something, but there you go.

That was, without question, the high point of the convention, for me.

Here are my pictures from the Crafty Seminar.  I like the Teeth!

Sorry some are blurry, they were flipping through the book pretty fast. Smiley

If you go up a level, you'll be able to see some other pictures from the con, although not Crafty related.
