I always found it funny that John Connor and Skynet's existence are tied together.

It's a classic literary device. It's not inherently different from Vader being Luke's father.

Saw the pilot last night. I thought it was meh. OTOH, Summer Glau is quite a charming bunny (if you ignore her large, lobed forehead).  Shocked
I'll try to catch the 2nd part of the pilot tonite.

The same stuff over on the IMDB message boards in regards to actors.

"Their nose is too big!"
"Their forehead is too big!"
"They have thin legs!"

Etc

That's where SkyNet plugs into her cyber-cortex yo!

Yeah, she's pretty cute without Jewel Staite, Gina Torres, and Morena Baccarin in her immediate vicinity for contrast. Wink

That's what I thought too... to Summer's credit she has gotten better looking as she has gotten older.

Jewel is starting to look pretty "waxy" herself from what i've seen of Stargate: Atlantis.

I got to meet Summer back in '06 and she's looking pretty hawt. A bit on the thin side, but not as much as Keira so its all good.

Saw second installment. Still strong. I'll be following this series closely until they drop the ball.

Me, too.  I liked the fact that they did not ignore the third movie.

It was promising... I was hesitant to watch the second installment in fear that it would fall into suck. I'll catch it again next week.

They crossed the first hurdle for me. I find their main character compelling. She's got that enormously competent under stress, Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor in T2 vibe going. I believe her as a strong female lead. Cameron/Summer is also interesting to watch. Connor himself isn't making me cringe so that's a plus too.

Oh yeah. She was one of the main reasons I liked the pilot back when it was shown at Comic-Con. Sadly, I haven't had the chance to check out the second episode yet, but hopefully I'll get to it tonight.

I think Lena Headey is doing a fine job in the role.  The character definitely has the potential to be very good, as long as the writing is good.  John Conner is looking good, too.  A little of that rebellious youth mixed with a well-trained soldier.  And then there is the enigma that is Cameron.  Hopefully there is a story to what type of cyborg she is.
