OOC: Dhampire, any reason you're openly attacking Ghost? Same question for Gentry and Dog.

OOC: Aren't we in a free-for-all? Or are we supposed to all be attacking Thunderstrike? That was unclear at the outset.

OOC: Thunderstrike has challenged you all to a fight; Ghost used the confusion of the melee as cover to if not cripple Swift Spear then certainly decrease the chances of Swift Spear having a successful hunt.

OOC: I see. I misunderstood the challenge mechanism up front. I'll rejigger Three-Eye's actions accordingly. Shame, though--I was totally going to jack Dog up.  Smiley

Tusk presses the attack. His fighting style isn't pretty, but he makes up for a lack of finesse with pure passion, throwing strikes at Thunder's face and throat.

Half Action: Attack Thunderstrike

OOC: I misunderstood the nature of the fight as well.  I thought "everyone for themselves" implied it was a free-for-all, and it was just serious injuries that weren't allowed.  I'll re-skin my actions.

IC:
Swift Spear stands up, his injured knee buckling slightly as it bears his weight again.  Looking straight into Ghost's eyes, he bellows, "Fight as one!  We can bring him down!"  His eyes shift from Ghost to the open area between Ghost and Silent Step.

With menace present on his face, he turns back to face ThunderStrike, as if casting some of the blame on his knee to his mentor.  Swift Spear sets the rear foot of his uninjured leg and rears back that same side's arm and fist.  With a grunt, he swings his fist forward towards Thunderstrike's head.

While Three-Eye has a beautiful vision of kicking the shit out of Dog, who fell at his feet like a fool, he recognizes that there is no honor in it, and refrains. Instead, he spends a full round ululating a battle cry to psych up his homies.

ooc: Is anyone buying Swift-spear's ot 3-Eye's KoolAid? Advantage: you bring down the boss. Disadvantage: he gets somw of the credit for whomever lands the felling blow.

OOC: Since no one's said anything to the contrary...

Silent Step again strikes from behind, but only one of her attacks land and even then the elder shrugs it off. However, it seems to force him down, luring the rest of you in by pure instinct.  It allows him to lash outwards with his feet, spinning like a child's toy and toppling all but Three-Eye; following through, the motion brings him upright once again and favours the unblooded whelp with a disdainful sneer.

Dog is the first back on his feet, beating his chest and snarling as he psyches himself up; Falling Leaf uses this as cover for her attack as she too recovers, but her blows fall short as Thunderstrike weaves out of the way. Stirred by the visual dressing down he's received, Three-Eye calls out, goading his fellow unblooded to greater effort.

With a grunt, he swings his fist forward towards Thunderstrike's head only for to have it parryed by a powerful forearm sweep as Thunderstrike elegantly sidesteps Tough Nut's assault.

Unfortuneately, it puts him squarely in Broken Tusk's reach; the young unblooded's two-fisted swing slams into the elder's already bruised arm in just the right -- or wrong -- place, hurting it even further.

On the plus side, his reaction to that ferocious assault pulls him out of Ghost's reach.

If Three-Eye is now adjacent to Thunder Strike, then it's time to get stuck in good and proper:

It's possible, however, that the layout in the ship hasn't changed and Three-Eye's still out of melee range. In this case, he'll answer Thunder Strike's sneer with a primal roar:

I'm happy to drink Swift-Spear's Koolaid and take the cover bonus. He can have some of mine, too.

And mercy but I'm wishing for Fluid Initiative now. Oh, for two more points of Initiative.  Smiley
