Marcus takes two standard move actions to keep up with the Intruder. If he only takes one then he’ll still be 5 ft. away from being able to Grapple. Bill, if you have issues with this, let me know.

I am not chasing this guy.  Since Frank is bleeding on the ground with a broken leg and I am the only medic, I need to tend to him.

Half: Handle Item - Retrieve Blood Expander
Half: Apply Blood Expander to remove bleeding from Frank, using 1 of the 3 uses remaining.

Tending a broken leg will take surgery but the bleeding is a problem I can deal with now.  Once I have taken care of the bleeding, we can see about moving him out of the combat zone.

Of course, knowing Frank, he may try to hobble after the guy on his broken leg, but at least I will have stopped the bleeding.

Frank is before me on the initiative order and his response will affect mine.  I'll keep an eye out for Antilles action and respond accordingly.

Frank's not going anywhere. He's just lying there, in mild shock (the emotional kind, not the physical injury kind).

Blast.  I guess Alice is off to the races, or pinballing around the corners to bag this dirtbag.

Just for clarity, the dude took a 60' single move? Since Marcus was going to need a double move to keep up?

Oh, wait. I see. Marcus would have had to do the extra move because the intruder gained 5' off the kick thing. He's not hella fast, just nimble.  Smiley

I just did a huge attack in the IC thread, but it occurs to me that Hondo may just have to run after the guy. What's the distance and angle here? And he's going to get a double move before Hondo even gets to start after him, right?

Hondo can probably draw line of sight to him with a single standard move. And yes, you're spot on about the kick thing. That said, Marcus ISN'T chasing him down as I stated - he's treating Frank. He'll run after the guy the turn after this one, I believe.

Yea, that is the intent.  Once Frank's bleeding is stopped and he is rearmed in case something else comes up before we get back, then Marcus is going to chase the guy down.

Can Alice still see the guy and/or the smoke grenade?

Since she bull rushed him and he hasn't moved away, Alice is still in melee with him.

Good call on the grapple, Jim. If Alice can just hold the guy for a second, Hondo's coming up right behind her.

She's also better with the wrasslin than with the wrench swingin'.

Hondo will probably come through the smoke to find two helmeted loonies head butting each other and coughing.

And Alice is trying to make noise, so Hondo should hear her.  (Smoke grenades do not make much noise.  Tongue

If Marcus can identify the source of the smoke, he'll head on in to find the intruder.  Otherwise, he'll be looking for the source and, thinking they may have set the place aflame, he'll look for some means to fight a fire.
He did hear and see Alice go rocketing past, then a loud clatter and a burst of profanity.  Now it's just the odd hiss of a smoke grenade and coughing in the middle of the smoke cloud/hall.

Good point.  It may not have been the intruders who started the fire, it may have just been Alice cursing her bad luck when she crashed and her Jetpack exploded.  Tongue

In either event, Marcus's first reaction to seeing a wall of smoke isn't "Hey, someone must have popped a smoke grenade in here."  The old adage "Where there's smoke, there's fire!" would be much more front and center in his mind.

Alice is offended that you don't think her jetpack exploding would compromise the structural integrity of this building.

Heh, good point.  So the jetpack didn't explode, per se, just spewed out flame as Alice went roaring down the hall.  The structural integrity of the building is actually what is worrying Marcus.  He knows a lot of good people that live in this building.

... spewed out flame as Alice went roaring down the hall.  ...
Marcus knows that spewing flames is something all of Alice's machines do.  (No, no one really knows why Alice's fire extinguisher spews flames AND puts out fires.)
