I am also curious about what became of the captain.  Did the Brotherhood take him off our hands?  Or do I need to lock him in our new vault? Tongue

Hondo wants to find out why the kids took off in the first place.
Boredom. Children are not allowed out of the control-zone surrounding the skyscraper, and they were sick of it. They 'went for a walk'.

Locked in a cell, awaiting trial. The Brotherhood members have made a formal request to have the trial suspended until they can contact their home-base.

And have they learned that's a bad plan?

They did get rescued, and in that rescue, a great threat to the whole area was averted.  So I can't bet on that.

Related note:  Any chance for Alice to trade Lady Joan, modified or not, to one of the guys with a plasma rifle?  (Didn't we see an Empire State Guard with a plasma rifle, I think so.)

Her style of dress seems to be setting something of a recent trend in the Republic.

Though if whatever Elsie's wearing is as FORBIDDEN as the website link, I'm going to like living in Empire.

I don't doubt Elsie has talked Alice into wearing it, and probably plucked her eyebrows again.  So Alice probably isn't wearing much besides perfectly tailored armor...

How far are we from our new abode?  Was the cafeteria in the same building?  If it isn't far, I'll offer it as a vantage point for spotters and snipers.

Stood outside, about 50 floors down. The cafe was in the 1st sublevel.

Well, as I mentioned in the spoiler text of my post, if the sheriff says he doesn't have any Stealth Boy wielding people working for him, I'm going to go investigate.  Since I suspect this to be the case, I plan to go into the building and head up to the approximate level I saw the guys at and try to find out what they are up to.

If the sheriff does have people like that working for him, I'll wait here until we learn about any trouble we can caus...I mean any trouble we can check out.

Alice could give you a lift straight up the building.  Or she could hop into one of the buildings across the street, or stay on the ground, and start picking them off.

You mean something like this, only with an axe instead of a sword? If the odds of me falling to my death wasn't so large, I'd be tempted to try it...

Given that the closest I have ever come to dying in this game was free-falling due to the failure of, not one, but 2 different pieces of ailing, flying technology, I think I'll pass on the air-lift.  Stairs are a perfectly serviceable means of gaining altitude in this instance.
