I actually really really like splitting the party, and almost cheered when nobody said "no, we should stay together."   ;D

It's going to be a long time before Alice suggests splitting up again.

Alternatively, could we make like a human stepladder to get up there (standing on shoulders)?

Antilles - yes, that's plausible. You'll just need to decide who will be making the Electronics/Repair check. It will be DC 5 for repairing simple wiring.

Since it was 15 feet, if we use the human ladder approach to facilitate the repairs, it would likely be Elsie making the repair...unless she wants to be the one lifting one of us up there.

(Never split the party.)

We were within the safety of the vault.  What could possibly go wrong or be dangerous here...

The radroaches or the folks with anti-radroach artillery?

So, all of us have Pip-Boys, that have radios.  Are they synched to call each other?  Alice and Hondo are a bit busy to be poking right now but...

Think of them as having a 'contact list', like a cellphone.

What does Alice weigh?
*Sniffs*  I can't believe you would ask such a question!

Probably nearly 150 with all her gear.  Or less than nothing if she tries out some of her toys.   ;D

I ask because while she's easily pick-uppable by Hondo, she's probably within his Light Encumbrance rating, so he could in a later round heft her into the pipes and conduits on the walls where she can perch. But she just flew away.   ;)

That didn't really cross her mind this time, but it certainly can work in the future, and even if she ends up sprawled, it should be all the way across the room from the damn bugs; good looking out though.  :)

Reversing the pumps may loosen the blockage and make cleaning the pumps easier, but you're going to need two things:

1) A Computers check, DC 10, to figure out how the hell the system works (since you've never used it before), and

2) Buckets. Lots of buckets, and an idea of what you're going to with the crap you scoop out of the trench. You may want to go have a chat with the garbage burners...

Gentry- if you want them to help, you'll have to make it worth their while. That means caps, loot or favors. Effectively, they're vulnerable to checks with the Bribe tag.
