A few minor issues;

1) You don't know anything about law after the day that the Vault was sealed; new amendments may have been ratified by congress, and you'd have no way of knowing.

2) The NSA has the authority to act wherever the hell they like, and if martial law has been declared, so has the army. This goon seems to be acting under the auspices of one or the other, and hey, he has the Patriot Act (and god knows what other fucked-up Fallout equivalent) on his side too.

3) You don't know the specifics of Eden's election.

You may wish to gather a little more info before running Alice's mouth. Wait. Wait a second - who the hell am I kidding? Go ahead man, it'd be more than in-character for her.

I was about to list more or less the same points as Glim.  Smiley We don't know anything about the state of the union post Vault-sealing. And our own current Obama regime just signed into law a bill allowing indefinite detention of legal citizens without due process. This action *could* be entirely legal, especially if Empire is now listed as a Rogue Nation sponsoring the terrorists who crashed the flying ark-thing.

Of course, law and the means to enforce it are two separate things. I guess we'll want Interrogation Part 2 to ask him what his mission is/was, yes?

I'll get started on working out the specifics.

Interrogation Dramatic Conflict (Redux)
Predator: Hondo (Intimidate +9 [+10 with Resolve synergy bonus]; error 1/threat 20; no result cap [omni-competent])
Prey: Enclave Black Ops prisoner (Resolve)
Starting Lead: 5 (prey risks torture and death; prey has lost a DC already this scene)

Current Predator Modifiers: +0/error +2
Current Prey Modifiers: -6/error +4

Let's go!

Of course today is not a slow day at work.  Alice's rant will have to wait a bit.

As a point of order, shouldn't the starting lead be 5, since I've won an interrogation this scene already?

You're quite correct. Edited.

“What do you want with the Empire?”

Quote
So, as a result of your failure to cooperate and your continued looting and attacks on our personnel, it has been determined that the ‘Empire State Republic’ will be brought under back control by force. If you will not do what is right, you will be made to. You will do as you are told.”

Aaaaand that’s your lot. Interrogations specifically say ONE subject. You can ask him to elaborate on the above points if you wish, but if you want details on other stuff, that’ll take a new Interrogation.

Control by force?  So they mean to attack Empire City.  Under the category of elaboration, what kind of force and when?

If it is a different subject, try to find that out, interrogators.

I am making several assumptions here, let me know if any of them are incorrect.

1) Emily, being the best doctor we have here, would have been the one performing Surgery on Franklin.
2) This interrogation would be done soon after he was captured, within a few hours, time to get him locked away and secured.
3) That means Marcus would have come to the cell almost immediately following surgery.
4) That means this may be the first time Emily has had any contact with the Commando, probably having to deal with some other medical problems.

If these assumptions are incorrect, particularly number 4, let me know and I will remove the first couple paragraphs about keeping her out of the commando's sight.

These all make perfect sense. Yes to all.

Cool.  If it gets to the point that they are unable to get any more out of the interrogation, I may talk to Emily and see if she can help us get more information.  We may be able to put her in a cell neighboring the commando under the guise that she was captured, too.  If the Commando knows that the town will be captured by the Enclave soon, any assurances he may give Emily could give us more information.  That will only work if her allegiance with us is unknown to the commando.

I really hope it doesn't come to that as it isn't something to which I want to subject Emily but if the alternative is the city gets wiped out or taken over, I may have to broach the subject with her.

Worse Cop is tempting, Jim, but I think it's couterproductive in the long term. It's really risky all by itself, since we're talking about a DC 25ish Sense Motive check to make the Crisis advantage translate into Victory. Since We're like 1 Lead from done with this go-round, it's probably not worth the risk.

And I'd like to think there's a way to shift this into some kind of brainwash. If we can actually get this commando dude onto our side, it could be a big deal going forward. I'm not sure how to run that transition, though.

Marcus is going to track down Sherriff Armstrong.  We need to search the other sites and make sure there wasn't a second demolition team and we need to prepare a defense.

Alice already has some nasty ideas about ways to foul up vertibirds, even if she wants one for herself.
