People making a successful bullrush do not suffer their own unarmed damage; the whole point of pushing someone or something through someone or something else is that they are taking the damage, not the person doing the pushing. See also meat shield

I honestly thought that was the official rule, so I guess this is a house rule my group are using [and for the same reason].

Here's a house rule modifying haggle rolls when the PC backs out of a purchase because of a bad haggle.

  • Merchants will honor haggled prices and will never back out.
  • NPC disposition starts at 0.  This can be modified by impress/intimidate skills.
  • PC’s that back out of a haggled price will reduce the disposition of the NPC by the difference in the haggle rolls.
  • If disposition goes far enough negative they will kick PC's out of their store and if it’s really bad, let the other merchants know that the PC's are not to be trusted and the PC's disposition to other merchants will start off at ½ the final disposition of the original NPC.

A little ruthless, but it makes lots of sense.

Well they do get one impress/intimidate to get back into the NPC's good graces.  Cheesy

Likewise.  Hm.  My Ogre with path of strength I just became a tiny bit less awesome (although only a tiny bit, since subdual damage can be shrugged off to a degree).
