So in the spirit of this master-list I would like to ask:
Is there a version of compact combat and general rules (a la DM's screen) ?
or are there any plans for one? (either officially or from the forum members)

There are compact combat rules on page 2 of every character sheet Smiley The DM's screen has been batted around but no decision on the best way to do one (if we do one) has been reached yet.

There's always making your own. I have considered making my own inserts for my supa-chill Savage Worlds screen, but my chart-fu is exceedingly weak, and I'm just as big a flake as...well...everybody else on this forum.   Evil

It would be handy to have the master NPC statlist chart, I reckon, as well as the item damage save chart and the combat summary from the character sheet (plus the special maneuvers, maybe). What would other people want on a hypothetical screen insert?

This question has been asked a bunch of times, and always gets similar answers. For a more interesting thread, how about we discuss what we would want on a hypothetical GM Screen?

I for one definitely want the NPC trait to statistic charts from page 229 on there somewhere.

Chance of Success and Sliding DC tables from pg 370. Something that my be handy would be an index for the book, there's never enough room for everything you want on a screen so something that makes looking up specific pieces of info faster would be nice.

Crit Success/Failure: 65-66
Trails                       320
Campaign Qualities   322
Treasure Rolls          345

I believe I'd also like the ambient light/noise "how well can you sneak" chart from the skill chapter.

Haggle and Earnings chart. The two charts I can guarantee I'll use every game.

Well, for me, I'd be cool with inserts, and since I use a screen more as a folder then a wall I would like a version with charts on both sides. Art is, for me, a waste of real estate in a screen.

Raising a dead thread back up..

Has anyone compiled a "quasi-DM" screen, or lists of the rules mentioned above in a couple of sheets for use on a DM-Screen?  Just trying to avoid remaking the wheel if it's been done already.

Thanks!

It has not, to my knowledge, been done. Should you choose to do it, don't be afraid to post the doc here.  Smiley

What would be really awesome would just be if someone could re-jigger the NPC Traits chart on page 229 into Landscape format.

I've been looking at the tables that I'd like to see on a screen, but I have too many (as you can see!) Wink

Knowledge checks
List of Earnings
Skill list of actions and time it takes
Skill Tables (including Spellcasting)
Conditions
Sliding DCs
Item damage saves
Gear availability
Action Dice uses
Table of Ouch
Damage Types
Healing
Cover
Vision and Hearing
Actions
Travel Speed by Terrain
Disposition
Morale

I think it worked out to be 8 A4 pages...  Roll Eyes

Cheers! Cheesy

Sounds a bit like you want four or five different GM Screen completely.

I made my own quick reference screen. Let me dig it out and see what I managed to cram on it...

I used a DMs screen for Forgotten Realms to attach the pages to, so I had 4 panels to work with.
I put on
Damage Types - Rules
NPC Types - Rules and Benefits
Conditions (even though I made up quick reference cards, I wanted something for myself. I could possibly replace this page with something else in a later version)
Combat Actions - What they are, their rolls, and action cost.
XP Rewards and Reputation Rewards
Item Damage Saves Tables
Sliding DCs Table
Cover rules and Table
Critical Injuries Rule and Table
Healing Rates Rules
Dramatic vs. Standard Scene rules'GM Action Dice rules
Mounted Character Rules
Deviation Rules and Table
Falling Damage Rules
Skill Use and action Times (eg: Acrobatics Balance - 1 Half action, Break Fall - 1 Free Action, ect)
