I am looking for a pre-written adventure that would help to introduce my players to the spycraft mechanics before I have them make up characters. If someone can point me to a good one is I would be greatful.

Sorry if this has been covered, but my search fu didn't work well enough to find it.

Is the issue characters, the adventure, or both? Because both can be had separately.

There are 3rd level demo characters on the dowload page... or directly at this link:

Adventures, your options are a little more open. There are a variety available on the downloads page. I have some favorites, but which might be best for starting players is another matter.

Triple Play is one of my favorites, but it's high octane and might be a bit much for first time players.

I think the Watchmen might be a good starter mission. It's short, but a good portion of it is investigation and intrigue; if your players want to fill the air with lead, they might not get the chance until late in the mission.

The watchmen is here:

You can browse around the download page (under "missions") to see if something else strikes your fancy, but I'd avoid the classic spycraft conversion missions until you've run a few of the complete missions.

I noticed the demo characters, and all the missions in the download section. It was just a bit overwhelming. I mainly need an adventure as I will be using either the demo or the iconics. I will look at the missions you listed, both sounded interesting.

Thanks for your help

I personally remain a fan of Black Tie Formal as an intro mission. You'd have to use the conversion dox, which might be too much back-and-forth flipping, but the mission's straightforward, and has a nice blend of social con-games and large-caliber mayhem.
