I'm seeing it in IMAX in three hours. Smiley

Guys in uniform aren't automatically good guys, and I have a very hard time rooting for corporate gun carriers. That said, Avatar has succeeded because of word of mouth. It's not perfect by any means, but it's a real reason to go to the movies. The star of this movie is Pandora and I was happy to spend the IMAX money to see it.

I think you gotta get his sense of humour.

Funny story, around these parts, IMAX is cheaper then the normal cinemas...  You can guess where I saw it when it came out.

Definately worth it.

You guys need to lighten up. The acting was fine, not great, but since half the cast was CG it's above the standard. The plot was simple, but it didn't need to be more complex.

Stuart Townsend replaced in Thor days before shooting begins

What? Again? Although they don't give a reason for his replacement, I wonder if he was being difficult... again.

Ivan Reitman to Direct Ghostbusters 3

Peter Sarsgaard to Play Dr. Hector Hammond in Green Lantern

Lionsgate Courting Terminator Franchise

I did a little dance when I saw that last time. IMDB also lists Rick Moranis as 'rumored' - I wonder if it's 'wishful thinking' or if there's an actual possibility of it... Coz that would rock! Smiley

Also, life sucks at the moment, but still looking forward to seeing Sherlock Holmes when it premieres here next week...

Saw Book of Eli last night ... excellent film! I highly recommend this to people. It may seem slow as you draw near the end but trust me, it is ending that is well worth it.

Second the motion!  Actually saw it a few hours ago.  Solid fight scenes, an interesting main character, and a twist at the end that... well, just go see it!  It's worth it, I tell you!  Grin

Apparently inspired by the success of Avatar, John Carter of Mars is going into production.

Back from a double feature of Book of Eli and Lovely Bones. The first is art that speaks to the soul and the second is artistry that speaks to the heart. Both are flat-out amazing. I haven't felt this satisfied coming home from the theater in a long, long time. Smiley

Also, I find myself a bit surprised that it's Lovely Bones' In-Between and not Avatar's Pandora that convinces me we're finally ready for a full-bore realization of Lovecraft's most fantastic works (Del Toro, I'm lookin' at you!).
