Been randomly surfing between accomplishments today and here are some gems from the other end of the entertainment spectrum...

New Planet 51 Trailer - Cute, could be worth a whirl

New Fame trailer - OK, this makes up for the last one. My interest is official piqued.

...and by far my favorite movie find of the day...

Robo Geisha - There's so much awesome packed into this trailer that I can't even hope to do it justice with human language. Just... just go see it for yourself (preferably somewhere free of colleague and spousal ridicule).

We watched Transporter 3 tonight. I have never, in my entire life, so much wanted to see a woman backhanded.

I caught the Fame trailer a couple of weeks ago on www.traileraddict.com and it definitely makes me want to see the film. I have a feeling they did justice to the original in this film. They also have a great supporting cast with Bebe Neuwirth, Kelsey Grammer, Charles S Dutton, Debbie Allen, and a few others.

I also saw Public Enemies this morning and it is an excellent film which I will highly recommend. A guy who wrote the book that the film is based on had the following to say about it: "It is not absolutely 100% accurate but it is the closest thing to 100% that Hollywood has ever done with the subject."

Depp is magnetic as John Dillinger and the surrounding cast does very solid jobs. There is a cavalcade of who's who in the mix and most are all old Michael Mann standbys. Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi, Christian Bale, Rory Cochrane, Billy Crudup, and many others in bit parts.

Here is the trailer for one of the films that preceded Public Enemies. It is called Couples Retreat and I definitely plan to see this one. http://www.traileraddict.com/trailer/couples-retreat/trailer

I think this is one of the rare occasions where something is so bad that it goes right around to being awesome again.

I went and saw The Proposal today with my girlfriend today. To be fair, she did go and see Transformers 2 with me last week, and Terminator before that Tongue It's actually pretty good, if a little predictable. Betty White is hilarious, as always.

I too saw The Proposal with my girlfriend, and I actually enjoyed it [you're right, its pretty predictable, but still funny].  I just don't know what to say in reaction to Robo Geisha... I now know what it feels like to have a brain explosion.

I'm still totally geeking out about the official announcement of a proper [ie. not the abomination in Origins: Wolverine] Deadpool movie.  My favourite comic character getting his own film, finally.  And with the actor I've been saying should play him since his days in Two guys, a girl and a pizza place.

Its also good to hear that Public Enemies is as good as I'm hoping [hasn't been released down under just yet].

I can't wait! Two previous films made by the same group of people are already in my guilty pleasures stack, The Machine Girl and Tokyo Gore Police. And I'm still waiting to see two more, Vampire Girl vs Frankenstein Girl and Samurai Princess. I'll just have to add Robo Geisha to the pile and try not to snicker too much while I wait.

If only they got someone who could actually act as the lead.  Such a shame.  Oh and am I the only one who doesn't find Megan Fox attractive?  Theres something about her face.  I think its probably the altered lips that don't look like they actually belong on her face.

She's had a nose job and lip injection.  Angry
Too bad, she looked better without.

For me the turn off is the tattoos: too big, too visible.
And for the studios they're a needless expenditure.

OK, there really is a limit. There it is. Back there.

Fair warning: Don't go there, not if you're even remotely squeamish. Don't go here, either.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

Wow.  I HAVE to see this move.  It sounds glorious in ways I can't even describe.  No wait for some hack to make a horrible american remake and get it so horribly wrong [and not in a good way].

Oh and I just saw the trailer for Planet 51 at the movies, looks like pretty good fun. [Missed the fact that Pat posted a link a few days ago]

You liked Cannibal Holocaust too, didn't you?

I mean, honestly, what do people see in this sort of torture porn?
