So.. with the recent insight into Spycraft, the group is heading back into Spycraft for a bit.  (FantasyCraft could use a small break.)

Fleshing out a season right now.. got the character rough ideas.. and a small q for someone with experience in either geology, archaelogy or.. maybe history?

1.  Can anyone think of a mineral or component that could survive... oh.. I dunno.. 100,000 years?  I'm hoping to link a small piece of the FC campaign into the SC campaign.  (With the ultimate plan to cap it off with, if and when, VoS ever comes out. Wink )

Two characters of the bunch.  One wants to be a Musician in the employee of a federal spy agency.  When I quirked my eyebrow... they pointed at ISpy.  Instead of the boxer, musician and female.  Workable.. okay.  (Queue the Jelly and an airplane jokes...)  The other one wants to be the musician's bodyguard.  Except.. a midget.  I was completely confused by this one.  Then they showed me the link to Ludacris' "Low" video.  And.. they want to be the little dancing high pitched singing Ludacris.  *was highly confused*  *still is*

A friend of mine played a midget in LSpy. He purposefully made himself short and took the Con disadvantage for it too. But he was also an expert at poisons, had Profession Chef, and became an expert with a kukri. He countered the loss of his Wounds from the Con adjustment by taking the feat Great Fortitude.

It can work. You just reinforce the idea that he looks like a child who shaves.

Yes, he had a pet monkey and he was going to teach it to play the accordian so he could dance like a fool.

Barring erosion or chemical reactions of some sort, most minerals will last that long. Some will last for millions or billions of years - never mind a paltry few hundred thousand. In the grand scheme of things, that's the blink of an eye.

Please be a bit more specific with what you want, and i'll see what I can do. I've studied geology up to university level.

And as for VoS, it isn't a case of if - it never was. It's a matter of when. Gentry and I haven't forgotten about it, but with the recent upheaval(sp?) in affairs, it's naturally thrown the VoS crew for a bit of a loop. You will get to see it. Eventually.

The if was more of a "you never know what DevHell has in store for products", not a "Who knows if the product will ever exist".  (Cancellation, new title, VoS leaves the company, etc.)

And.. essentially.. a relic from a time that history didn't record.  Evidence of an intelligent society that no one knew ever listed.  In the form of a single symbolic etching.  Stone.. maybe metal... Doesn't have to be huge.

Indeed, we the secret cabal are still plotting out plots within plots, plotting the plot of the plot. Or something.

As for you surviving thing, sounds like Adamantine to me.

This sounds suspiciously like a new Talent. It's one of those Talents that few would take (like Deaf,* Blind,** Paraplegic, Cancer Survivor, Disease Carrier, etc.). You could use the Young Talent from Newman's "Childish Things" article in Signs and Portents, ditching the age requirement, swarm quality, and 3 fewer weapon proficiencies--that Little Person (which I think is the politically correct term) Bodyguard could get a lot of mileage out of the Blend-as-a-class-skill and Harmless.

Note that I just finished season 4 of Nip/Tuck and there's a little person in that who's awesome and bad-ass (in a he bones-one-of-the-lead's-wife kind of way), so I totally respect this decision.

I liked this show where they used a midget by shipping him in via shipping crates or by having him sneaking by just walking by people.
