Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol' storm right square in the eye and he says, "Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it." - BTILC

I love that movie! Grin

When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."

Heh, that's basically the default setting! I have a serious love affair with 70's film and all the movies you list above, and I count each of the chief references that informed the game's concept. The "star" of 10kB is Empire City, which has elements of nearly every major American metropolis rolled into one gloriously fictional city that becomes the game's sandbox. New York is totally doable - but Empire City will be completely free of "real city" baggage (never will you hear, "I've been to ___ and ___ is not like that at all!") and entirely feasible for the characters to mess up, take down or take over as they wish Smiley

Man, it sounds awesome. I can't wait to get my hands on it.

I plan on using the mastercraft line to dust off the old Dragonstar rpg.

10,000 bullets will cover the gun fu, SC3, for the sneaky, etc.

Currently running fantasy craft, will bring in the guns and space stuff later as the books become available.
The stars are filled with ill omens and then a great beast falls from the heavens... and so on.

Speaking of space stuff can someone point me to a good resource for futuristic weapons, ships, etc. that are compatible with mastercraft/spycraft.
Does transmechs provide a good baseline for blasters and such?

Transmech has a small number of laser weapons, but that's a fraction of the content in the book.  It's a good little suppliment, but I wouldn't purchase it just for the blasters - get it if you want transformers.  It'll also take a little bit of work to convert to Mastercraft from Spycraft 2.0.

If you have access to a 2.0 book you could check out the gear in it for some ideas, or throw together a few of your own ideas based on how weapon stats look and what feels right and put it on License to Improvise.  I'm currently combobulating some lasers and plasma weapons for a post-apocolyptic game powered by Mastercraft and will put them up when I'm done, unless I'm distracted by something shiny*.

*One of these days I really need to invest in some Resolve ranks, and perhaps Iron Will.

Wow. That looks like it'd actually be better than the prequels. I'd watch it.

As I mentioned in the TV offtopic thread, I caught up on Dark Blue yesterday, and the style of the show could certainly fit the game, methinks.
