I ran a campaign for Spycraft 1 and Spycraft 2.0, all in Shadowforce Archer and with mostly the same characters. We love the game but a couple of years ago lost all but two of the original players. The new guys want to play and can't wait for 3rd edition. The old guys want to murder their nemesis from the game. MURDER HIM. Literally no conversation in my group can mention villains without this guy, Sam Sanders, being brought up. I want to run Spycraft and miss doing so, especially as GenCon UK's not been on for a bit and I used to get my kicks out on the con players.

I've decided I'm going to combine all of these needs to end the Spycraft 2.0/Shadowforce Archer world with a bang. A huge damn BANG.

So far I know it'll have to revolve around Sam as a villain, and I'm calling it "The Death of Sam Sanders". That's all fine, especially as he's starting the game in African Alliance captivity. We finished before The Shop/The Company issues kicked off, so that'll be fun. I also plan on having a WW2 flashback using Spycraft 1 and the ...Militaries books, to give it a real sense of flashbackyness.

Sam Sanders was a rookie agent the group were training, but in some point he was put in 'witness protection' and replaced by a doppelganger who betrayed the group, nearly killing all of them. He's escaped them numerous times, had to be rescued by them and protected by them while their base was attacked. Even then they've tried killing him while in custody and been brought up on charges. When we left it with the group, they'd secured the base and kept him imprisoned, despite massive protests that he's so evil he'll be running the place in no time.

My plans only go so far. I want the original Sam to die, seeming like the title of the campaign is that. Sam will escape custody and in the midpoint we'll find out he's replaced Two. The Company will go bad as part of The Shop. That's about as far as I've got, and I think it'll be two seasons of about 6-8 sessions.

So what do you guys think would be a good endgame, for the system, for the Shadowforce Archer campaign, and how would you destroy the SFA agencies, or indeed any spy agencies, as I intend for the world to be in ruins when I'm done with it. Unless the players can stop me (rubs hands together evilly).
