To everyone who wants to see a Civil War/Wild West BfoG:

Keep pestering Pat and Alex, ask them about it every day. They will relent on this issue, sooner or later.

PS: Just imagine stats for the Volcanic Pistol, the Burgess Shotgun, Minié Ball ammo and Colt Walker... Evil

Will either Gear for the Ages or Gear and Gadgets feature Civil War / Old West weapons and equipment [mainly weapons I guess]?

Probably not - G&G is strictly modern and GftA is built to support Fantasy Craft, which doesn't extend quite that far forward. I'm sure we'll get the Old West covered eventually though!

Bugger*.  Ah well, time for some improvising...

* Translation - Nooooooo!

That word... I do not think it means what you think it means.

Thats an Aussie to English translation. Wink

EDIT: It just hit me that that's an Inigo Montoya quote - well played sir.

Well Mr. Flagg no one is talking about begging or pleading, what we contemplate is putting the screws on you and your associate, Mr. Kapera.
Because as we saw before, politely asking just isn't making the cut.

PS: Stats for howdah pistols and bulldog revolvers anyone?

Enfield revolvers, Apache revolvers (a little later, but close enough and cool enough), Elephant guns, Colt SA and DA Army revolvers, the Colt model 1877, cane pistols.... Smiley

Add the Marlin in for Cavalry shooters, and people wanting a lighter, more balanced weapon and I think we're rocking.

Well what I see here are good ideas, but little drive to make the publisher listen. Tongue

The stuff that has been mentioned? Base for not one but two products, one inspired by the old west and the other by the victorian era. What's even worse, it's very doable, since there are boatloads of info about those guns and we even know the ballistic for those rare and exotic cartridges like .577 Snider or .44 Bulldog.

I don't like them, sure the Henry was the "goddamn yankee rifle, which is loaded on sunday and shoots all week" but I'm a fan of the Colt Lightning rifle (an intentional slam fire capable pump-action rifle).

Victorian = Ante Bellum = Reconstruction = Old West = Gilded Age = Second Industrial Revolution.

All (more or less) the same time period. Smiley

A joint release -> BfoG: Hickock and Holmes edition or BfoG: The Blue, Grey and Red.

What are the chances of GftA having things like pepperboxes, or even just more then single barrel weapons?
