All this is why I can't wait for 10KB, Spellbound, and SC 3.0.    Gets me that much closer to doing  my own version of Shadowrun.

That's been my plan since late 2006.  Sooooon, so very very soon...

As it happens I'm playing in 2 Shadowrun games right now and nothing else, so the desire is at an all time high.

I have copies of 1st through 4th Edition, 3rd was my personal favorite.  If I have to use their system.

Gah, I'd kill to cut a deal with dragon right about now..... Which version you using, I don't  care much for what they did in 4th Edition.

The 20th anniversary 4th edition version, it's the only one I've played.

I have copies of 1st through 4th,  3rd was my favorite of the systems.   Not that being the favorite made it that good.

Actually, I would like to see a future (whether near or far) stand alone MasterCraft product hopefully with mechs and psionics along with every other trappings for that type of genre.  That would immensely help with my version of RIFTS d20.

This is a fill in till the rumoured Shatterpunk ever comes to fruition.

The Torg discussion won't seem to die - I'm partially at fault, I realize - so I've split it out and moved it over to the Off-Topic board.

It does seem that this thread did derail a bit.

Spycraft 3.0 is going to stick to the main espionage settings (awesome!), to have "focus" as it's been put. Has there been thought of doing separate world books that introduce a different setting? This is something that other lines like Pallidium or WoTC have done for a while, but I feel Eden REALLY took this to the wall with the All Flesh Must Be Eaten line (i.e. Fistful of Zombies, Zombie Smackdown, Dungeons & Zombies, Enter the Zombie, Pulp Zombie, etc...). Even released as PDF, that would be pretty cool.

Yup! Vow of Silence will be a separate Agency Book for Spycraft Third Edition, as will some others.

Are we going to be totally vowed by it?

I understand that the book will mostly focus on US, and that the UK will be well represented.  Will there be mention of the counter-eldritch organizations of most countries?

Any chance for a hook into Voices From Below and the Long Stairs?

Without revealing too much, Interpol's Special Unit 5 deals with the VAO's counterparts in other nations. Around two-dozen Interpol member nations get a mention. The UK doesn't get anything beyond this - VoS is set in the US (and is part of the Dept of the Treasury), so nearly everything focuses on US soil.

And yes, you'll be vowed. Vowed, hexed, assassinated, bought off, enchanted, drowned, lynched, arrested and - for good measure - karate-chopped down a back alley.

That do ya?  Wink

*EDIT* As for Voices From Below, it won't officially be a part of the setting, but there's no reason at all that you couldn't use the material as a tool kit to do it yourself...

If you're lucky you end  up like the guys that Ossie Davis and Bruce Campbell played in Bubba Ho-Tep.

Disavowed just means you are no longer recognized as being an agent. This is typically done posthumously. Burned is more like on Burn Notice where you are stuck in a city completely cut off from your money. More importantly, an appointed politician/diplomat is not necessarily denying you exist publically like when you are Disavowed.

Of course, the VAO might burn or disavow you, but there are sundry other playable groups who aren't nearly so polite.

For example, the Bloodfire Cult will simply kill you, leaving behind a pile of smoking ashes. The Ghostpact will cancel your bank account, repossess your car, forclose on your mortgage and have your kids kicked out of school. The Knights of Quicksilver, however, will organize a good old-fashioned front-lawn lynching.
