The Citadel is recruiting freelancers

This is a live-action espionage game that takes place at various locations in and around downtown Phoenix, AZ... you are outfitted with gadgets and tools (like comm gear) and uses actors to help push the story along, but you may not know who the person you need to talk to is since parts do happen in public places; any "combat elements" are handled in controlled private settings (for safety reasons of all involved).

Yes it does cost money ($95/person teams of four, each with a role), but this looks extremely cool.

Reading the descriptions, the team roles would be Soldier/Pointman, Wheelman (this is the person in the group who does the actual driving to different locations), Hacker/Snoop and Faceman.

This sounds really, really cool, and like something I would blow all out of proportion and get in Real trouble doing.  YMMV, good hunting to the AZ crew.

I'm not seeing any details on costs. What's the price range on this?

It is a flat $95 per person and up to 4 people play at a time so $380 for a team.

Oof. For a daylong game? But I guess you get what you pay for.

A fully immersed 4-6 hour LARP game where you really have to use your wits to stay focused and follow the trail. I can see it. According to the article I read, most were reluctant until after they played and realized it was completely worth it.

I believe there is a similar setup in Las Vegas, which is billed as more of a team building exercise. Sounds like fun, if you've got the money and the time.

Also in that article, the guy who runs this says that he barely covers cost with what he charges; he has to pay the actors, he has to cover the costs of the equipment and he rents the office space that is Citadel HQ. He also plans to expand the story further with more story chapters in the future... it is definitely an ambitious endeavor, and one I would be willing to do at least once just to say that I did it.

Yeah, he is expecting to do 12 Chapters according to the info on the website ... of course, he needs enough people to do the first chapter. I'd even pay an even $100 per play
