It's hysterical. Genuinely worth tracking down, AstroVal. It's one of those movies where you really sense that the whole cast is having a blast, and you're probably seeing take 47 of every shot because they keep busting each other up.

Or to sell it in just five words: Tim Curry plays the butler.

First look at the Green Lantern movie - courtesy of Entertainment Tonight.

It looks interesting, but I hope it's an early run of the CG and the polish is yet to be done.

The early clips of this sold me, coupled with the director's research asides, sold me on this one. I'm definitely gonna have to track it down.

CG work for these heavy-effects movies usually goes almost literally up to the last minute (so, about 2 weeks about from release - possibly less if it's released all-digitally).

Surprise, surprise, the second Wolverine movie probably won't suck nearly as much as the first one

Christopher Nolan meeting with six actresses for two Dark Knight Rises roles

And let's put aside that Skyline is apparently one of the worst movies of 2010 (if not, according to some reviews, one of the worst science fiction films of a generation), Battle: Los Angeles is shaping up as a potential landmark in the same vein. I love the vibe (in fact, it's very similar to something I devised a couple years ago, that you all might see in time), and the material shown at last year's Comic-Con was, on its own, quite worthy.

Here's an international trailer that uses the same footage to very different (and yet equally laudable) effect.

I vastly prefer the 1st B:LA trailer -- it's distinctly creepier and has much more of a cinema verity feel.

From what I've read about Skyline, they've basically taken part of the infinitely superior Quatermass Conclusion and skull fraked it

Skyline is a cesspool of overly heavy CGI, deplorable acting, and writing that's on par with something a 4th grader could write after watching the Trailer to Alien.

Interestingly enough, Howard Taylor's comment was that he and his friend didn't care about the protagonists, they wanted to see the stories of the the soldiers.

Battlefield: LA looks far more interesting then Skyline.

It's apparently poster day...

Cars 2

Pirates of the Caribbean 4

Cowboys and Aliens

Mechanic

That last one's easily my favorite of the bunch.
