Yeah, a *lot* of people are pissed that some idiot tarnished that story by associating it with Fail-Boy Prime.

I'd also like to see an adaption of Supreme Power, the recent reboot of Squadron Supreme which was itself Marvel's spin on the Justice League.

The first link in that article as about an Akira remake.  Two movies that really didn't need remaking.  As well as a much needed Mr and Mrs Smith reboot, because such a classic franchise really needs a freshening up.  After all 2005 was sooo long ago.

Mother Fu...

WHY do people keep making shitty awful remakes of perfectly good John Carpenter movies? Leave them alone!

The Fog: Selma, Selma what were you thinking? You were the only thing that made the film watchable (and you were very watchable), and it still sucked. Let's take the badass undead pirates and make them angry lepers instead. And lets add a silly reincarnation subplot where someone gets taken away by the ghosts too.

Assault on Precinct 13: Ooh, ooh! Let's take the whole premise of a film about inner-city gang violence and shake it up completely by replacing the gangs with police! Let's scrape Stephen Dorff out of the pit he's been rotting in and stick him in the lead role so that he can ruin the film! And old cardboard-face Larry Fishburne was rubbish too. Seriously, did he only learn one facial expression at acting school before he ran out of money?

Halloween: Rob, your albums rock. You're gifted. You just suck at directing. All of your other films are cliched trash, so why did they let you anywhere near this? Granted Tyler Mane was a perfect choice for Myers, but what was with the gratutitous and utterly unnecessary graphic rape scene? What did it actually add to the plot? And why get Danielle Harris involved and NOT have her play Laurie Strode? Dumbass.

And now this! I hate the world! ARGH! I'm having a mini stroke!  Angry Angry Angry

That franchise is almost as apt a description for "freefall" as is a picture of a falling person. Tongue

Or is it just me that thinks the first movie was (still) quite good?

The David Cronenberg version of the Fly is being rebooted and remade...

...by David Cronenberg.

Also, Cameron is remaking Fantastic Voyage using the writer of AVP2. [sarcasm]Yay. It will be great. [/sarcasm]

The first & third were good, actually the 3rd was the best of the trio but Cruise is desperate for a hit when we need a new agent in charge of the team.

Oh, and Bryan Singer is making a Galactica movie, independant of the new series. And the old series. Will one of you nice American chaps shoot him, please?

And they're making another Pirates instalment - and there was me thinking i'd escaped that tripe. To add insult to injury, Penelope Cruz is going to replace Kiera Knightly.

Looks like April 1st arrived early this year. I'll go shoot myself, now.

Replace is not the right word as Keira said she was done after the 3rd one as did Orlando Bloom. Their storylines have ended. ... This is a new chapter for Captain Jack Sparrow and has no real relation to the previous chapter except for him & the Black Pearl.

How is Penelope Cruz a bad thing over beanpole Knightly?

For me, Depp, Rush and Cruz... wow, oh wow. If they would just make a stellar casting choice for Blackbeard, then we'll be rolling.

As for the Singer thing... I know some people who know some people. I'll put the word out.

They need to cast Brian Blessed, and they need him at some point to say "Sparrow's alive?!"
